EKA Nordic A10 Birch Blade Fixed Knife, 3.94-Inch, Masur Wood

My first EKA knife although I own several other brands of Nordic knives. It is very well made, with excellent fit and finish. The birch handle is very nice looking and I really like the shape of it. It fits my large hands quite comfortably and the finger grooves feel very naturally placed. I prefer carbon steel blades but the Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel used in this knife is an excellent blade steel. I have several Mora knives which use it and it holds up well in them so I do not expect it to be an issue in this knife. The blade grind is kind of interesting as it is a hollow grind with a secondary convex bevel at the edge, but the hollow grind is only on the lower third of the blade, so it first appears to be a scandi grind until you look closer. It did come out of the package shaving sharp. It should be a very adequate knife for general camp and bushcraft tasks. Overall, I really like it a lot.

Quality knife and sheath, fit and finish is excellent. Needed to be sharpened but I can't complain for the price..
