Everything about this was amazing. I didn't connect at the same level with every story because not every story was written in the same style, but I 100% learned from every story and it was just beautiful to see so many women telling their stories. I am hopeful for volume 2!

Engaging and Important
This is an engaging and important collection of essays by strong, empowered women. And 100% of the proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood, so you get a great book to read and also get to support an important organization that helps women. Highly recommended.

Fantastic collection of essays
A fantastic collection of thought-provoking essays from a wide range of self-proclaimed "nasty" women. Hearing these authors' own voices on a gamut of topics about being a woman in our current world, often pushing against preconceived notions of what that looks like and entails, can be entertaining, heart-rending, a gut punch, and/or a wake up call -- often all in the same piece. There's a lot to consider here and a lot to enjoy.

Important
This is an important book. I don't know what else to say about it--the essays contained inside say enough. Some are uplifting, some funny, others a gut punch. Several made me consider how I can be a better ally. The majority of what I read falls into the horror/crime/bizarro category, and while I'm familiar with some of these authors, overall this falls out of my normal comfort zone. But I'm so glad I read it. Nasty! is one of my favorite 2018 reads so far.

I read this in one sitting.
I read this in one sitting. The essays run an incredible gamut, putting your heart through just about every emotion conceivable, and then finding a few more for good measure. Besides being an important work in the human sense, it's important because of its timing. NASTY is the kind of thing that will ACTUALLY make America great again because it will push you out of your comfort zone and make you face sometimes harsh but always human realities. Get this.

Important read
I actually READ this book before writing this. The collection of essays is FANTASTIC. It is a realistic perspective of what everyday women experience all too frequently. The essays are candid, the authors unafraid to voice the anger and frustration and joy that we women experience every day. Kudos! Highly recommend.
