Very adequate for driving, just not with a Heads-Up display!
I got these for what I hoped were finally polarized sunglasses that would work with my windshield HUD/Heads-Up- Display that, like, most all makes and model vehicles, uses a polarized process for display on the windshield surface. Considering these are a tad lighter then my current driving sunglasses, I was hoping I'd be able to read the display, even if I needed to turn up brightness to max.Sadly, even though lighter in tint when they darken, they completely block out the display as if it's off.I had a vehicle which offered super brightness and worked with polarized sunglasses, but, I think that was a rare opportunity.Bottom line, if you do not need sunglasses for using your heads-up display, these would work perfectly for driving glasses. These do fit very comfortably and use a very clear and have a lens with zero distortion. They are extremely light in weight and rest very comfortably on the nose.If you use your heads-up display or try to with your current polarized sunglasses, these are worth trying, as you might be lucky with your vehicle! Google the heads-up issue for your year and model and you might find some helpful info on user forums online!5 stars all around for these and the fact they do not work w/ polarized heads-up displays is NOT the manufacturers fault at all!

Hard to find glasses this good for the price.
It's a matter of preference. This is not a real detailed review. They are comfortable, lightweight, polarized and not very dark. I don't like really dark glassesI have a tendency to break everything I own. I've never been the type to by an expensive pair of sunglasses and take care of them. So these come with a pretty decent little carrying case as well to keep her from getting scratched up if I throw them in the glove box or even the little compartment above my rear view mirror.I always buy cheap polarized glasses and it's hard to find ones that are comfortable or don't look cheesy. About a second pair, and I will be buying a third when I get around to it, because polarized glasses are plastic and easy to scratch. I never found a pair of polarized glasses that don't eventually get scratched and these are my favorites so far.

Polarized, Yes. Photochromic, No. Looking for a Light Tint Sunglasses? This Is It
I lost my transition/photochromic prescription glasses I use for riding motorcycle. In my research, I came into this pair.Looking at the lenses, they're lightly tinted, which is what I want and they work great at that. The polarized pattern seem to be separated in 3 areas, upper, middle, lower. The middle part has the least pattern when seeing through. I wish it's the lower part, so it won't look as weird when looking at the motorcycle's display.Lowered from 4 to 3 stars, because it's not really photochromic/transition, it doesn't go completely clear, there's always a tint and this makes it not suitable to use when it gets darker... I have to stop to take them off. Still a decent pair, just don't work as advertised as well as they should be.Overall, they work for me. Though I'd love to find a regular light-tint glasses. The search continues.

Worthless as Sunglasses
These are advertised as Polarized Photochromic Driving Sunglasses. They perform neither of those two functions in any usable manner. The polarization didn't work at all until the glasses were rotated about 45° off of horizontal - useless. Looking at bright glare through these glasses they did not eliminate the glare at all. I figured they weren't polarized and began rotating them to be sure and found that when the glasses were rotated about 45° the polarization gradually became apparent and effective. You can't weal sunglasses rotated in front of your face at 45°. The photochromic function did nothing inside the car. No darkening in bright sunlight. Certainly not "driving sunglasses." Returned them as they are useless at each claimed function.

My go to golf glasses.
I like the look and the fit. They don’t seem to get very dark when in the sun however they do a great job of filtering out the glare.

This presents a significant limitation for Safety Professionals
As a safety professional with decades of experience in high-risk environments such as construction, chemical plants, and power facilities, I rely heavily on the performance, comfort, and reliability of personal protective equipment — particularly safety glasses.I recently acquired a pair of safety glasses advertised as having transition (photochromic) lenses, designed to automatically adjust from clear to dark when exposed to sunlight, and revert to clear when returning indoors. Unfortunately, while the glasses are undeniably comfortable and well-fitting — offering a lightweight frame and a snug yet pressure-free fit around the temples — the lens transition feature does not function as expected. In my experience with this product:The lenses maintain a constant slightly dark tint, even when indoors. There is no noticeable darkening effect when exposed to direct sunlight outdoors.Likewise, they do not return to a fully clear state when transitioning back to indoor lighting conditions.
