Works Exactly as Advertised
We used to fill balloons from my welding cylinder of helium by just holding them up to the valve and carefully cracking open the valve without any regulator or anything. While sure it does work, it's not ideal. This balloon filler on the other hand is the ideal way to fill balloons of any type; mylar, latex, or any other material. It's nice to not have to gingerly crack the valve open on the tank and risk shooting the balloon right out of your hand. This setup is like the Cadillac of balloon filling regulators. The rubber balloon filling nipple is supplied with lower pressure helium so it fills balloons at the perfect rate and its flow is controllable by how much side pressure you apply to the rubber thing. The probe for filling mylar balloons is fed through another regulator that, like a scuba diving regulator, supplies gas at just slightly above the ambient air pressure and it shuts off when the mylar balloon is full instead of over pressurizing and popping it. Mylar balloons don't give, they don't stretch so the difference between a full balloon and a popped balloon is a tiny bit of helium and this regulator works perfectly for filling without popping. The place I buy my gases sells a brand of similar valves for ten times as much as this one and this one is definitely of higher quality. I definitely recommend this to anyone that needs to fill balloons or just has a tank of helium they want to play with.

Had to replace my first one due to quality issue.
I had to buy a second one since the one I purchased in October the "O" ring broke.

fills balloons
The helium regulator functions exactly as designed. The gauge is accurate and fill nozzle is responsive, releasing gas at a variable amount determined by operator input. After moderate use over a couple of months it is functioning like new. If you need to fill balloons from a bulk tank, this regulator is what you need and is a solid choice.

Better than most others out there
I recently purchased a helium balloon filler for my kid's birthday party and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed! The foil balloon filler is a great feature, as it allowed me to fill up foil balloons with ease and without any worry of damaging them. Which, by the way, are still inflated 3 weeks later. The filler is incredibly easy to use and the instructions are clear and concise. It fills up balloons quickly and efficiently, taking the hassle out of party preparation. I also appreciate its mostly brass construction that will likely last me a lifetime of balloon filling. Overall, I highly recommend this helium balloon filler to anyone who wants to make party planning a breeze. The foil balloon filler is just one of the many great features that make this product a must-have for any party host.

Brass Parts are Excellent, Plastic Parts Less Than Optimal
The construction quality of this balloon filler is a mixed bag. The brass components are high quality, with precise fit and clean threads on all parts. The plastic components are thin and fragile, exactly the opposite of the brass parts. Thankfully, it comes with adequate protective foam packaging, and it works fine without leaks despite the flimsy feel of the plastic.Fits a CGA580 tank valve perfectly. This will save a lot of money over the years compared to purchasing the single-use tanks for events, so long as it lasts. It should be fine, but keep it protected. Not likely to hold up if tossed around carelessly in a workshop.
