Q: Is this mouse truly usb? will it work without the included usb receiver, only using the bluetooth that is part of a macbook?

I use a lap top and when you plug it is, it appears to be a normal mouse. When you activate the Jiggler, it just looks like a normal mouse moving around.

Q: Is there a way to make the jiggler wait a little longer before it starts? It's annoying to let go of the mouse for 2 seconds and then jiggler starts.

The juggler only starts when you turn it on.
