Vignettes - Worth it
This is a very good movie...but more as episodes to enjoy and not on the whole. It is funny as can be in pieces....some not great parts are in there but BOY are the funny parts exceptional. The whole movie is very good because some of the parts make it all worthwhile. I think it is better than "The Great Outdoors" which is also a similar movie....parts of the latter movie make it worth watching but on the whole something is missing. Shows like the X-Files or Seinfeld are like this too...so don't quit because of a miss here or there. Some of the parts are in my mind like my own memories as they are so danged great....like my childhood: Not perfect but sprinkled with rapturous moments. mbk
