Great for high arches and sweaty feet
Socks have been a battle for me. I have EXTREMELY high arches and my feet get sweaty fast. It's a bad combo. I actually developed heat rashes on the top and sides of my feet. I have tried socks from Rockay, Carhartt, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Dickies, Germapro, Duluth Trading, Red Wings, and countless others. These are by far the best ones I have ever tried. They keep my feet dry (without stinking), provide enough cushion on that I don't get foot pain, and are durable enough for 8" duty boots.Within a week of starting to wear these socks my rashes were going away. Even my wife was surprised how much healthier my feet looked just by changing socks. I almost didn't believe it myself, so I switched back to wearing some normal Nike Stay Dry socks. On the 2nd day the rashes started again. Started wearing these again every day and the rashes are gone. INSANE. I had to suck it up and buy 5 more pair. But in all honesty, this has been a draining 2 year experience, but these socks are worth every penny. If you're like me and deal with really sweaty feet, but have to be in boots every day look at the Danner Tachyon or the Bates Raide Hot Weather boots. They really are a winning combo with these socks.

very happy with purchase
I bought 5 different pairs of socks to compare in a hot arid environment in my combat boots on a deployment. im a PoG that builds stuff so they put in work. these are pricey! they felt to tight the first few times but broke in nicely no complaints this far these hold snug to calf dont sag, keep my feet dry, i can run jump do whatever and feel comfy all day long. I would totally by this style again but with a life time warranty do i really need too??????the other socks are as followspay attention to material when you buy socks how they hold and ease of removal play a huge differenceUnder Armour Adult Tactical Heatgear Boot Socks, these are are prolly my favorite pair ease of use and comfort im not certain they will last as long as darn tuff but well see281Z Military Boot Socks-- these are almost as awesome they just feel dirtier when you pull em off otherwise no complaints I find my self gravitating to the first 3 brands until laundry day then ill have to wear the others belowFoxRiver Men's Wick Dry Stryker Mid-Calf- these are super comfy but THICK not a summer sock. they can bunch up in certain environments and sag on the calf.Military Wick Dry Maximum Mid Calf Boot Sock-- i bought this one by accident i have the green version loved them on my first deployment then after 4 months they were just Meh. the material in them is not as much spandex so taking them off is kinda a pain in the ass. they feel good but really start to sag after a few weeks. this is by far the least favorite of the bunch

Good sock
Great sock for long hikes/rucks. I prefer a heavy weight sock but this one still works.

Great Socks
So far, these are amazing socks. Super comfortable and my feet don't seem to be as sweaty as regular cotton socks after a hike.

Know your true shoe size!
These are the best socks for what they are intended. High content wool, form fitting, great for wearing with boots and not slipping down, in properly sized boots. The size chart is right on - if you think you are a 12.5, but always get that size because your foot is wide, and your true shoe size is 11.5, GET THE CORRECT SIZE - DO NOT GO BIGGER!! The build quality is what anyone should expect from an American company, weaving in America, with pride!! The stated warranty is all it could possibly be.As important, the fit is phenomenal! I will continue to buy from them. If you buy cheap, you get cheap. These are not inexpensive in up front cost - and they are not cheaply made. The cost effectiveness is realized over time. Three to five years later, You look back and say "I am very glad I chose this item."Rock on Darn Tough!

Absolutely Fantastic!
Purchased for ruck running in combat boots, in very hot and humid conditions. All the guys I work with use these socks. Perfect for jungle school/operations. One of the guys had a warranty issue a while back and had no issues getting them replaced. Plenty of merino wool socks out there, but these are quality, and made in the US, that matters!

Still made in Vermont.
It's hard finding anything still made in America but dran tough socks are still made in Vermont. The quality is not lost and wear them all most very week when I bought them new. Good boots socks and very comfortable. 5 stars.

Very comfy socks!
Ive been using Darn Tough socks with my hiking boots for a few years now and they have not disappointed me. When I saw these tactical ones I had to give them a go and so far they do not disappoint, they are much better than my issued military sock system, very comfortable in my combat boots, good cushioning and no seams anywhere around the typical rubbing areas. Make sure to get the right size since they are form fitting, go a bit bigger if in doubt. Even though they are made of wool they have not shrunk in the dryer yet, neither have my hiking ones. They can be warmer than the typical sock but considering the comfort and cushioning, I think they are much better. My only gripe is the price, I wish they were less expensive otherwise I’d have a drawer full of them.
