I cook with saffron about three times a year. The premeasured little containers are perfect sizes for a batch of rice.

I bought this to make Mango Lassies. Recipe calls for a pinch. I added a whole little container. Don't do that.Cute little containers.

The media could not be loaded. Wow this was delivered quickly! I bought some high grade organic saffron for a paella recipe and it was delivered in a day. Love the color and taste. The convenience of the capsules are a nice touch as well. Just the right size and exactly what I was looking for. I'll be ordering more soon!

I really wanted to like this affordable saffron, but the flavor, color and richness I expect from saffron is somewhat lacking. I won't be a regular user.

A little goes a long way,

I bought this "organic" saffron, hoping to use it with the organic brown rice I also ordered. The capsule was not totally filled and was about the size of the top of my pinky finger, and I have small hands. I opened 1 capsule and sprinkled it on some moist, cooked brown rice and was shocked. It had a strong metallic taste and made the whole surface of my tongue bitter. And no, it was not the rice. I cannot return the other 9 capsules, as I see it is UNRETURNABLE. I'm glad it is only $9.99 plus tax or I would be even more unhappy. I have enjoyed rice with saffron all my life, but most of it at the store has all kinds of unwanted additives. I honestly do not see how this product was given so many good ratings!.
