Tiny Tomatoes. Really tiny.
Arrived in a small paper envelope. I bought these as they are supposed to be an "Early Tomato". I'm not really sure there is such a thing, but I sowed them in February in a greenhouse. They germinated reasonably well, but then the early heatwave in the end of February saw a few of them off. The ones that survived produced the weirdest tomato plants I've ever seen. Even when potted on into 8 inch pots, the plants were tiny, Liliputian even.I thought there was something wrong with the plants, until they started flowering microscopic flowers, and then some days later, tomatoes appeared, none of which grew any larger than a few millimetres. So we had a number of plants, no taller than 8 inches, perfectly formed and healthy, with little tiny leaves and positively fairy-sized fruit.I made the smallest salad in history, and the one mouthful that 4 bushes produced was quite tasty, albeit somewhat unfulfilling. The diminutive plants resolutely refused to produce any more fruit and promptly died back, leaving me somewhat perplexed by the experience. There are still a few left in the packet, so I will grow them again next year and feed with Tomorite and Miracle-gro in an effort to bring them up to Gnome-sized.All very odd.

Planted 3 seeds in ~5 gallon pots, in a closed balcony with supplemental led lighting, got 3 plants (Purple hue in the leafs in the middle of the pots was caused by too close lights and too little fertilizer at that time, is a work in progress).Got an estimate of 4-5 hand-fulls of tasty cherry tomatoes (about an inch across) out of them in about 70-80 days, including germination time, and they are still flowering. As a note, in my hurry I tasted the first cherry that appeared to be ripe almost as soon as it turned color: it was watery, still green inside and not far from most store bought tomatoes. Next ones I left them on the plant about a week or a bit more, to fully ripen, and they are very flavorful.

A little disappointed
Out if the 6 seeds I planted only 1 germinated. They were placed on my kitchen windowsill in the warm. Never had a problem with seedlings here before must have been a bad batch. Disappointed as I was looking forward to growing lots of these in rotation.

Not Sure Yet
A seed is a seed until it grows. Then I might like it a bit, or I lot..Silly Question really.Happy New Year
