Awesome Product
Review: (My weapon: Citadel Traditional Fullsize 1911-A1 9mm)Summary: Awesome product, looks and functions great, needs filing to fit properly, shipping was horrible.Fit: It "fit" the gun out of the box, however if I literally would have just taken it out of the box and left it as is the gun wouldn't of functioned. The slide rubbed it and the grip section was too thick to let the grips mate in the middle. The grips themselves are clearly made to be ground to fit per application there are "built up" areas of material around sections that can be easily filed for a custom fit. Bottom line is 45 minutes later and a pile of plastic these grips fit perfectly and look great.Function: The included hardware is functional and easy to install, the grips are not any wider than the set of hogue wrap around grips I took off to install them (they may feel "wider" to people who use panel grips as any wrap around grip does. I was going to stiple the grips when I got them but there is no need the raised grip texture is pretty effective. Feels good in the hand and the rail works perfectly. I have a laser/light combo on there fits perfect the gun does not feel significantly heavier than before even with the light/laser on it. These grips also surround the area where the slide release pin is and helps to keep you from scratching up the frame when you are taking it apart, added bonus.Aesthetics: Confirmed the factory picture does suck as I suspected and the grips are a much tougher looking dark OD green like they should be not the light olive looking color in the photos. The gun looks mean I really like the looks of these grips.Note: Let me say while the item is awesome shipping speed was horrendous it took it like 10 days to drive from LA to PDX which is literally as simple as saying leave LA get on the I5 and stop when you get to Portland 8 hours later... Its not like it came from Hong Kong, from which I have received products faster than I got this. Ill try to add a picture to the customer images.

Good grip rail system but some fitting may be required! Covers up serial # on most guns! Do cut out!
This product went on my SA Emp4 with a little fitting, not much for a average joe! Though its a bit long for the EMP 4 it still looks and feels great and actually saves the finish on your gun! Its a shooters preference but Probably best for Regular size commander an up. Im not sure the polymer/ plastic is the same as the GLS polymer material as on a glock but its good enough. One thing I did was cut out a space for the serial numbers to show because this will cover the #s on the gun, and "In a pinch" LE will not say please remove the grips so we can check the numbers to make sure this is your gun !!!!!

Pretty darn good system!
I purchased the rail system and holster together, which I will also review together since you can't really use one without the other. I suppose you could use the rail system and a generic one-size-fits-all nylon holster, but let's assume you don't want to use a cheapo $10 holster to retain your firearm. You may see this exact same review on both items.First of all, let me save you some time: if you need a concealed carry holster, this is not the system you're looking for. I struggle to understand how the Blackhawk Serpa holsters can claim they are designed for concealed carry, and this one is slightly wider and bulkier. Definitely designed for open carry.First impression out of the box was that I wasted my money (but keep reading!) The packaging was cheap and looked like a Walmart knock off. Looking at the rail parts and holster in their packaging, and feeling how light the entire box was, they appeared unimpressive. HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they were actually quite solid and sturdy, with the exception of the paddle which I'll describe later. The holster itself is thick and feels rugged, the release button is easy to index, and weapon retention is excellent. I did feel a slight give when I pulled hard on a holstered weapon, but it did not release until I pressed the button (active retention model). The roto system allows you to cant (tilt) the weapon to any angle you want with the included Allen wrench. The rail system is excellent. Appears thin but it's rock solid and doesn't flex as I feared it might. Installation is as simple as removing the grip panels and replacing them with this rail system, plus two extra screws on the trigger guard and end of the rail. No permanent alterations to the weapon. Installed on a Kimber Pro Carry II with no issues, fits like a glove and feels very solid. Adds a very slight bit of bulk to the grip. Ridges on the grip area help counteract the smooth plastic; it feels similar to most polymer frame handguns. I wonder if a Hogue grip would fit on this system? Cutouts for the magazine release, slide stop, and safety are perfectly placed and appear to be ambidextrous-safety-friendly, although my weapon does not have one.Attached a Streamlight TLR-4 and it sits very well, about 1/2" lower than an integral rail so be aware that your buttons will be in a slightly different location than if the rail were part of the frame. But then if you had an integral rail you wouldn't be shopping for this. The paddle on this IMI-compatible product leaves a little to be desired and is the only reason I took away one star. It feels a little flimsy, as if someone could walk up and rip your holstered weapon right off the paddle. Perhaps this can be resolved with the IMI belt loop adapter, I may order one and find out.Another issue I have, and this is less of a problem and more of a slight annoyance, is re-holstering with an accessory attached. The hard rubber flaps that serve as the trigger guard do flex to allow the accessory to pass by, but they're rigid and holstering is a little clumsy and takes a bit of practice to perform smoothly. I tried bending the flaps back and forth a few times as suggested in another review, which helped a little. With no accessory it was very easy to re-holster. Perhaps it (or I) will become smoother with more use.Overall a great system and I'm very happy with my purchase. As I stated earlier, it is compatible with IMI Defense accessories so you could add a drop leg base, magazine holders, belt loop to replace the paddle, etc.
