Aladdin Micro Barlo 6mm Fully Automatic Self Bleeding Radiator Valve

Easy to install and worked immediately saving me having to bleed the radiator each week

Easy to install but not very effective!

Good product, easy to fit, works well.

Rubbish - stopped working after 2 weeks.If you have a standard system, open to the atmosphere, no pressure beyond what the pump produces, you may have problems.In most unpressurised systems, one or more radiators will be below atmospheric pressure when running - if you open a bleed valve with the system running, air is sucked in, no water comes out of the bleed valve. If you fit one of these to such a rad', it will only bleed air when the system switches off. Unfortunately, the one radiator that perpetually air-locks in my system, runs at low pressure when in use................................ to bleed it, and get the heating going in that room again, I have to switch the system off every few hours............................ More convenient than manual bleeding, but not ideal, and also what I actually expected - I could not see how it would be otherwise before I bought it - my main worry was that it would admit air, which it does not seem to.It also spits a drop or two of water out as it releases air.It also did not seal - you will near certainly need thread-seal tape or boss white to fit it without some kind of leak.

It is a bit early to say how well this works but so far it has been fine. It is easy to fit as long as you can get the old bleed screw out. When I first turned the radiator on I could hear the air escaping then a drop of water came out and the valve closed. The only issue I have found was it leaked a little when I fitted it. PTFE tape on the thread resolved the leak but this could be due to worn thread in my radiator. Have PTFE tape ready in case!

OK! I know the radiator needs a touch up, anyway this little item seems to have done the trick re. frequent bleeding of the radiator. It did require a wrapping of PTFE tape to seal the threads but that was to be expected. Now to get the paint out.

These Barlo auto airings devices . Only fit on six Millie meter sized thread receiving Barlo radiators and that is the is the same with bathroom towel rails. These units have 6 Millie meter thick threads . CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY.
