No adapter is require to fit wheels. If you wish to check the wheel aligment, you have to buy camber/caster gauge additionally.

Q: can this tool measure toe in nd toe out?

It can be used for toe in/out but would require measurement tools affixed to the flat round disk portion of the tool. I have (2) double ended magnetic laser devices that shoot lines in both directions. I take a front line measurement in front of the wheels and one behind each of the wheels to tell if the toe is in/out or straight on within 1/16".

yes basically. it is well made however and definitely simplifies camber/caster and makes them way more accurate then something mounted to the tire etc.

The shaft should come with other ones .I have three set's of rim clamps and the shaft does fit any of them. So I will have toMake new pair .
