Travelpro Maxlite 5 Softside Expandable Luggage with 4 Spinner Wheels, Lightweight Suitcase, Men and Women, Shadow Grey, 2-Piece Set (21/25)

Move over Samsonite! Travelpro is now the champion of lightweight and quality luggage! Since the 1970’s, we’ve always opted for Samsonite for their quality and durability. However, my old large sized Samsonite which is still in excellent condition, has become way too heavy for me. Did my research, found this Travelpro and so glad I did! I bought the medium one which is plenty roomy for extended trips (I’ll use my small Samsonite for short overnight trips). I can literally lift my new Travelpro with one finger! It’s that light! The wheels roll and swivel easily and the handles are padded for comfort. It has your standard zipper pockets on the inside and out and the zippers appear high quality and glide smoothly. Don’t waste your money on any others if you want the most lightweight suitcase that looks nice and is high quality. You can’t beat the price either. Lightweight Samsonites cost over $400!!! Who would pay that much for luggage! Can’t wait to take my next trip with my new Travelpro!!

I love this suitcase! I took it on a 4 week trip in Europe and it was so light! I had to carry it onto trains and buses and up stairs in four different countries. It was incredible and still looks like new!

Gonna give it a 5 stars thus far, based on weight and design. I have yet to use this bag for air travel, but this is my 6th Travelpro product. It will be put to use in next few weeks and months to travel domestically and internationally. I fully expect it will exceed expectations, just the right capacity for ease of travel. To begin with, it’s already 5 pounds lighter than my last carry on, making it easier to move through airports and lift into overhead bins.

Very light and yet strong. Good wheels, rolls easily. Very nice check bag. ⁹

The bag is very lightweight, yet feels fairly sturdy. The wheels and handle are good, no complaints there. A couple small gripes. The bag doesn’t open in the direction I would expect it to and it’s just a bit too small for a trip lasting more than a few days. Perfect for a business trip lasting a couple days, but anything longer and I’d need to break out my old carry-on I was hoping this would replace.

Puchased as a gift for my husband birthday trip to Mexico. It is light weight and wheels work were smooth glide. Is old suitcase the wheels no longer worked. He was satisfied with the large front pocket and roomy interior.

I’m on my first trip with this luggage and I’m already in love with it. Zippers are smooth and easy to pull. Is the perfect size to hold even my 16” laptop but still fit easily into the overhead bin. The handle lifts easily and best thing closes easily. The spinner wheels move with you at all times. Don’t get stuck even on eleven on uneven terrain. I love the little zippered net pocket on the inside of the suitcase. Easily keeps little things where they belong and not moving all over the suitcase. I also bought the under the seat side bag and when I slide it over the handle the suitcase doesn’t fall over. That’s amazing to me after my last luggage. The outside handles are placed to make lifting the bag into the overhead compartment a breeze even when it’s full (and I’m a 60 year old woman). The little zipper pocket on the outside is perfect for holding my passport and cellphone. The exterior pocket on the whole panel fits my laptop perfectly. No more having to vary my backpack to accommodate it. I love the pretty pink color. I can definitely find my bag amongst all the other luggage on carousels and ferries. Very happy with all of the features for a great priced piece of luggage. Will be asking for the accompanying pieces for Christmas and birthday

This is replacing a hard side bag. Didn’t like the hard side. Haven’t used this yet but it feels lightweight. Has outside pockets which, of course the hard side does not have. the expandable part seems larger at one end due to slant of bag I guess. I haven’t used this yet, but it moves easily, seems sturdy and looks like it will have a good amount of room to pack, especially with the expandable part. it has lots of inner and outer pockets for organization. The zippers seem sturdy. Seems much smaller than the 21 inch Kensington, London fog bag. That was my favorite but the wheels were apparently damaged by the airline and now they don’t make it anymore. I am giving away the 21 in hard side bag I bought and took one trip with. I really don’t like hard side bags. I never had one before but I miss the outside pockets and the give that a soft side bag has. I haven’t used this yet, but I’m hoping it will last as long as my old Kensington London fog bag.! That lasted seven years before the airlines wrecked the wheels. The London fog bag was plaid. This bag is blue – very attractive. Plus, I found that the wheelchair people at the airport who kindly helped me get my bag at baggage claim did not understand what plaid was. So I’m going to take a picture of my bag so they will know what it looks like. Although a solid blue is easier to identify for those not familiar with patterns, and non-English speakers. Bought this for my wife to replace an older, smaller, low quality suitcase. In my opinion this size is extreme overkill, but she loves it! So much room to pack all those clothes you "think" you might need on vacation, but never wear. High quality, very nice handles, wheels and zippers. Full expect this to hold up very well over the years.

Super light weight, very easy to move with the 4 way wheels. I think one of the bags was a tiny bit different measurement than the site said, but only by a little, and not enough to cause us issues. Can't comment on durability yet - haven't had a chance to travel with them yet.

Like that it’s light and the wheel swivels very smoothly. Price point is steep and does not contain a build in lock for safety

This bag is worth every penny. Well built, maneuvers extremely well, and holds a lot.I love the front zippered areas where you can store an iPad or laptop separately. Extendable which is always a good thing. The only thing I am not crazy about is when opened it sits slightly askew because the top of the bag is tampered. Not a big deal just a small annoyance but other than that this bag is exceptionally well made.
