This helped get my sister and brother in law's RV fridge up and running in spite of a greedy RV shop wanting $3000 for a new fridge. Shame on them! Even if you're not sure that this is your problem, it would be worth it to try it out. It completely solved their issue.

We were having a serious problem with our new 5th Wheel refrigerator not getting cold enough. I think the problem was a combination of the thermistor and the location. I replaced the thermistor with this one AND I relocated this new one. DO NOT locate the thermistor on the aluminum fins as it came from the factory! That Is a cold spot and it does NOT reflect the temperature in the middle of the fridge. Instead remove the clip that held the thermistor on the fin and use it to hang the new thermistor from the wire shelf. T he thermistor function is a bit opposite of what you might think. In an RV refrigerator it's function is to keep the fridge portion from freezing by shutting down the coolant circulation. By hanging it on a cold cooling fin you are faking out the fridge sensor. Once you relocate it you can move it around if too cold till you find the desired temperature. Mine is located at a spot where it keeps things at 35⁰. You will definitely be surprised at the difference it makes. The thermistor is a very easy replacement. Don't be intimidated.
