Excellent boat shoes. Bought them about a month before a sailing holiday to break them in. Just got back from that holiday and can happily recommend them. The heel was a little painful at first due to an overlap of leather - I wore socks with them until the holiday. Tried them without socks while away and have no heel issues any more. Now they are broken in they are very comfortable. That said, if I was going on a long walk with them I would still wear socks to avoid potential blisters. With no-show socks no one even sees them anyway.The laces tend to stay tied better than other leather laces have done with other makes of boat shoe. The shoes take longer to dry than my previous pair of Timberland boat shoes however the Sperrys are more of a firm leather than the Tims (which were more of a soft nubuck leather). After a complete soaking in the sea they took about a day to dry. Not too bad really. Overall, these boat shoes have the classic look, they are well made, and once broken in they are comfortable. I would definitely recommend them.

These are my 3rd or 4 pair over the years and I have always been pleased with them. Well made, comfortable, and good looking. For maximum comfort I recommend putting cotton insoles in them when worn without socks (as they should be in my opinion.)

Classic shoe, fits as expected. They are soft and comfy, but do take time to break them in. I wore them around the house for a few hours each day before committing to wearing them for a full day, to avoid chafing/blisters. Some sites suggest standing in lukewarm water for 10 minutes and letting the shoes dry on your feet to break them in, but I admit I was too squeamish to try that :-)

If you are looking for a proper sailing non-slip shoe this pair is not for you .They are useless wasite of money being downright dangerous on a yacht

Sperry is a good brand but the design wasn't what I like, the neck was to big showing the socks. I bought a Sketcher and Nun Bush for the same price of this shoes as well. Nothing wrong with the shoes but price and model were not.
