I have tried many gadgets for preparing garlic - choppers, presses, you name it. This works better for my use than anything I've tried. Obviously you still have to peel the garlic but then just put it in this chopper and press down - tiny, even cubes of garlic come out. And very easy to clean - just lift up the white thing under the grid and everything comes out. I had been using frozen garlic for convenience but fresh tastes so much better and now I'm using it all the time.

These work great! It also cleans up easily with the piece that removes the remaining pieces in the lid.

I use a lot of garlic. I do have a good chopper but there is always an extra step in clearing all the garlic off the blades. I chose this item because I wanted a device easy on my hands. Didn’t want to squeeze a device. The cutter is very sharp. Hope it remains so. The pieces were a bit larger than I prefer but that won’t be the case for every recipe. Device was easy to clean.
