It does a good job keeping my 8 years old daughter's mid back length braids dry during swimming. Her hair only gets wet at the hair line close to her neck. She loves her swim cap.

This product works well for my 9 year old who has braids. The braids fit in the cap and there was even a little room leftover from the braids. Just make sure the cap is secured or the water can seep under the cap. It only got the edges of the front of her head wet.

I purchased this for my daughter because she wears braids during the summer months. Tried it for the first time on the very last day of the pool season, and it worked very well. I think her hair might have gotten a little wet, I mean very little around the edges. This cap definitely works a lot better than the smaller version. I would have given it 5 stars but I really can’t comment on something that I’ve tried for just one day. I am truly optimistic that it’s a great product though. Happy swimming!
