For the price, this doorbell is a steal. Easy to install, loud enough to hear even if I’m pretending not to be home, and has a bunch of chime options—including some that make my house feel way fancier than it actually is. Only downside? Now people actually use it. If only it came with a feature that scared off solicitors and in-laws, it would be perfect. Five stars for functionality, but I might start pretending it’s broken.

Let me tell you, it was a real breeze to install this unit. The only bad thing is that it takes up room for the receptacle. I'm going to run a new line for this when it gets warm. I was going to need to replace the wire for the doorbell I had. For openers, the wire alone was more than what I paid for this door bell. Installation was done in half an hour - WAY LESS TIME than running the wire I was going to do. A lot less headache than fixing the original. Playing all the different tunes gave me a good chuckle and the tunes were just great. Nice package. Have not installed the second button yet but I did program it. Instructions were pretty good and programming the switches is very easy. One for the front door and the other for another use. Even thought about having it in the car like for signaling to come out to unload groceries without blowing the horn or calling on the cell phone. Just a thought for the second button. Unit was well worth the money all around.

I purchased this for my office and was pleasantly surprised at the quality vs cost. It offers a good range and multitude of sound selections.

I'm across town mowing a warehouse lot that we own when I get a phone call from my wife. She smells smoke! By the time I rush home she's discovered that the downstairs doorbell connector is smoking red hot. The doorbell unit fits inside one of those old recessed wall telephone cabinets. We air out the house and I disconnect the doorbell transformer in the basement. Could have been the old frayed wiring in the wall (and could have burned down our beloved 95-year-old home) but turns out the doorbell button got stuck on when the FedEx guy dropped off a package and that shorted out the ringer unit. I count my blessings and order this remote unit. Would have done this years ago but all the remote doorbell receivers sounded cheap and tinny. This one sounds very good for its size. I have metal storm doors but I mounted the transmitters on the wooden door frames next to window lights and they work perfectly. Used adhesive strips to mount the transmitters but next time I paint the door trim I'll remount them with screws, just in case. This might very well be one of our best purchases for the old house; the less old wiring I have running through the walls the better we sleep at night.

Doorbell works great and is reliable in -40 temperatures so far! Love that you can set different ring tones for each button. No issues hearing the ringer. Great buy.
