Works well, easy to install, not expensive.
All fittings on this appear to be standard (for many years) 1/2 pipe thread. I installed it to temporarily fix a plumbing problem so that I had a shower. With the included valve it was easy to connect to the existing tub plumbing and only took a few minutes. I do wish the shower head had adjustable sprays. This is kind of a gentle rain type of thing. Works fine though. One thing to note, there is a rubber/plastic washer with screen to connect the handheld shower head to the hose. This must be used or it will leak at that joint. I think the washer acts to limit water flow too to some lesser value than would be possible without the washer. There really is no instructions included with this, why not???

Economy priced winner
Besides the price, what impressed me the most about this hand held was the smooth working controls on both the diverter and the hand unit. Yes it is a chromed plastic diverter valve instead of brass, but for the price what do you expect! The extra long hose makes taking a shower seated a snap. And guess what, the hand held has three different spray settings and a shut of as well so you do not have to get up to shut off the water flow. My last hand held that cost three times as much did not have that feature. I used CA adhesive (aka crazy glue), to mount the holder to the tile wall. I can't imagine anybody drilling holes in their tile to mount the holder. PS, use the thick Crazy Glue or CA Adhesive, not the thin runny type to mount the holder.

ALL Plastic and fragile
The hardware is all plastic and fragile. After using the hose 5 or 6 times over a period of months (dog wash ), the plastic diverter valve started spraying up to the ceiling. When I tried to unscrew the metal shower head from the purchased chrome colored diverter piping, the end of the piping that screwed into the shower head twisted and broke! It just turned like butter and separated with the plastic inside the shower head's female screw threads. The shower head is ruined and it's too late to return this purchased JUNK! I'm bothering to write this because I am a bit pissed that such junk is even offered on Amazon. Amazon shouldn't support firms who sell this sort of crap.

Helpful and Fantastic for our Dogs
It took a while to find the proper connection device that will work with this Hose System but I finally found one at a home store and it works exactly as I wanted it to work. If is long enough to have surplus hose for use in a double laundry sink. The hose has a smaller diameter and when full of water is easy to bend around corners whil a larger diameter hose does not work as well in the small confined area of a laundry sink. The shower head is quite handy for bathing dogs because it can be turned off and on with the push of the button and that is really nice. No more wasted water going to the septic field. Because of the diameter and my water pressure the water stream is not that powerful and that is good for washing dogs. I bought two of these and plan to use the other one in the second shower for bathing the dogs during the cold months. The system fits well on the shower stall and I have no issues with it since I put the existing shower head on the diverter valve and the hose on the dog hose. My only complaint and so far it is not an issue but the connector is made of plastic instead of "chrome" or some other metal. Medline's NOT telling the customers this information is somewhat peculiar and noteworthy. Even with that I still like the system and am delighted that I bought two of them. Time will be the governor now.

Excellent. Love on/off feature. No leaks. Great for seniors & kids!
I bought this primarily to help bathe a senior family member. It was a breeze to hook up to the shower head. I love that there is an on/off feature on the handheld device itself. That is the greatest feature ever!!! Very convenient when I'm trying to bathe my family member who uses a shower chair and I have to keep sliding shower doors back and forth to rinse her backside and then frontside. I use it to just pause the water pressure for a moment and then continue what I'm doing. If you need to actually turn off the water you have to turn off the shower knob. I also use this to bathe my infant daughter. It's great to be able to rinse her after a bath to get any soap residue off of her.

Avoid due to poor design and construction
This actually has more capability than I wanted. It has an additional diverter and is made to use in addition to the existing shower nozzle rather than replacing it. The length of hose was nice, but the means of hanging the nozzle is by drilling screws into a separate bracket. And I don't want to drill screws through my tile. Other hand held nozzles are suspended by a hanger that is integral with the threaded connector. The latter design is a much better proposition. --- Update: The diverter valve popped out during use after a couple of days. Granted, there is unusually high water pressure in this location, but I would avoid this product.

A CREAT SHOWER HEAD
I LOVE THE NEW SHOWER HEAD THAT I CAN USE EASY TO DO, WHENEVERI'M TAKING A SHOWER. THE HEAD OF IT IS EASY TO HOLD IN MY HAND. THE HOSE OF IT IS LONG ENOUGH THAT I CAN PUT THE WATER AROUND MY BODY. THEWATER PRESSURE IS FANTASTIC. IT'S EASY TO TURN ON/OFF. IT'S EASY TO PUT INTO THE SHOWER. HIGHLY RECOMMAND FOR ALL KINDS OF SHOWERS.

Good with a Simple Upgrade
I purchased one of these to wash my infant daughter as we only have a shower stall at our house and I wanted it to be able to easily rinse her with it. The head unit is perfect. It has a nice spray pattern and is a perfect balance between good pressure and being gentle enough for an infant. The hose seems sturdy yet reasonably flexible and has a metal fitting at the end. The real let down here though is the diverter, though. It is made of cheap plastic and mine broke as soon as I put it on. I epoxied the crack and to be fair, it works now and stopped leaking, but it feels like it will break again. I would recommend replacing the plastic part with this all brass Delta unit, available here: http://www.amazon.com/U4922-PK-Universal-Showering-Components-Handshower/dp/B0064TXLHA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pdT1_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3FJ6BVOOWTPB&coliid=I2N41H7VCF59AZ
