The Amico 42-inch ceiling fan is perfect for rooms with low ceilings. The flush mount design looks sleek, and the built-in light provides good illumination. This fan is at a great price, was super easy to install, and works very well! I really like having color temp & dimming settings on the light and the fan works quietly & efficiently moves air. I recommend!

Some of the best instructions I've seen. The instruction book is very clear. Good illustrations. Minimal text because it's not really needed. Hardware kit was generous. Lots of screws that weren't needed for my installation, but could be for others. If you already have a ceiling light fixture or are replacing an older ceiling fan (my case), it is a breeze since the necessary fixture and wiring are already in place. If you heed their advice to turn off the circuit breaker that feeds the existing fixture, the job is easy and safe with clear guidance in the manual. My only advice would be to ID tag all the wires to the old fixture before you disconnect them, and refer to the instructions for how they will be connected to the new fan. Have a clear plan. Make a sketch. Know exactly what you're going to do before you disconnect anything. You might even staple that sketch into the owner's manual if you ever need it down the road a few years. I think anyone with opposable thumbs who will RTFM can do the job. Just a little on the unit itself. The expected level of quality for a $65 fan. Cosmetically, very nice appearance. VERY quiet with surprising air flow at the higher speed. NO vibration even at the highest speed. The light is dimmable and plenty bright for the 12x12 room it is in. Couldn't be happier. Sep 19/2025: Some notes about use after a hot So Cal summer which is still with us. The reverse feature came in very handy. With downward (normal) air flow, hot air from the ceiling is pulled down into the room. And since the bedroom windows are in the upper part of the wall, it tends to pull hot air from outside into the room. So during the day, when I'm not in the bedroom, I reverse the flow. It draws cooler air from the floor up to the ceiling and down across the windows sealing off the flow of hot air from the outside. Not exactly sure of the mechanism, but I used lengths of yarn to check airflow and it definitely stops the flow of hot outside air. The room stays cool(er) all day this way. At night, I switch to normal downward flow which sucks the cooler outside night air into the room. Excellent fan with lots of interesting features on the remote.

The fan itself is easy to install. The blades are sturdy, the light is bright and its more than powerful enough to get the air moving. The only real con to this fan is that after about 6-7 months the light has started to randomly turn on/off or change tone on its own. I originally thought it was an issue with the remote, but I took the batteries out and it still did it. Its not a wiring issue either as I took the fan out and reinstalled it. It seems to be some type of internal issue.

Lots of upside with only 1 downside. It was nice and quiet, remote operated, powerful wind to keep you cool, easy to adjust both speed and lights. But it stopped working after 14 months, lights and fan just wouldn't turn on. Tried to troubleshoot the issue; Changed the batteries in the remote, checked the wiring to make sure the ground or power wires weren't loose. Everything checked out. The customer service team reached out and offered me a full refund or replacment under warranty. I purchased this exact fan again because Amico won me over with excellent customer service.

Some of the reviews had me terrified to buy this product but I’m glad I did. They are the perfect style for what I wanted, easy to install and make no noise. And the fan kicks off great airflow. Very impressed!

Granted, I may be handier at assembling things than most, AND, this was a simple, logical, well-documented assembly and installation of the Amico fan. The folks that had a complaint about things not fitting together properly simply didn't follow the instructions. There is one step where you have to align 4 holes, one of which has a projection that fits into the piece below it in only one position - if you get that wrong, it won't assemble correctly. Just take your time - everything actually fits together perfectly. I could take off 1 star because the instruction manual makes you interpret the images without a lot of supporting text, and a couple of the pieces (screws) in the images are super tiny - hard to see the details. But at no point was it unclear what to do next - the manual is vastly better than most. The fan finish quality was excellent and appropriate for the price point. The remote is better than many that come with the lower end fans. It has a delightful "breeze" mode that cycles up and down in fan speed, like a breeze blowing through your window. But it's the quietness that is so stellar. On the lowest speed ("1"), it moves a modest amount of air - like for sleeping - but is absolutely dead silent. On "2" it is barely audible, on up to "6" where it's pushing a lot of air and still isn't loud or obnoxious. Bottom line: this is a great fan, especially considering the price.

I purchased this for my covered front porch. The fan was delivered fast, packaged well, and easy to install. I love the features such as remote control and light settings. It’s been installed for about 4 months now and I’m very pleased. The lighting is amazing… from really, really bright to low and comfortable.

Solo tienen 4 meses de uso y ya se descompuso, que pena porque se veía bueno.
