Fantastic product but they'd sell more if they controlled the cost better
The device works exactly as it should. Installation is super easy if youve a fresh water line nearby. That being said I'm still concerned about how expensive this thing was. From what I can gather its the sensor that adds the cost and it only lasts 5 years? Idk, i feel that a 900 component should be a 1 and done thing. Maybe add a small solar strip or something.

55k gallon pool
Works great. Initial setup was easy but couldn't get it to work. Ended up calling and the customer service was great. Haven't had to touch it since and I've had it for about 6 months. My pool is 55,000 gallons and 2000 square feet.

A hard DYI project. Unfinished consumer product concept. But works well once installed.
Have used a device sitting on the edge of my pool for years. A lifesaver. Liked the LevelSmart concept because I no longer needed an ugly device with a hose at my pool and because it requires no wires to the pool itself. It's expensive but solves the issue in a uniquely elegant manner. I'm an avid DYI guy.The installation videos online from LevelSmart makes it look like a 1 hour project and you're good to go. NOT SO AT ALL (if you'll do this yourself for the first time). They provide zero guidance how to connect the supplied 1" valve to your water source. They just assume you just figure that out. I had to visit Ace and Home Depot several times to finally find a $1 3/4" fitting that somehow securely connects a garden hose to the 1" valve. You also have to install a return flow preventer (by local code). Again, zero help from LevelSmart. Amazon had a neat $5 "3/4 inch anti siphon vacuum breaker" that solved it. This, in total took me a full day to figure out including installing the valve into the pool equipment return flow. My pool equipment is 2" piping. The installation of the control unit, power supply and antenna takes 10 minutes. No issues. Then comes the sensor to be installed at the pool edge. It comes with a "waterweld" epoxy cut piece that has dried quite a bit. So hard to mold and mix. Instructions calls for de-greasing and even lightly sanding the tile. I did. Then to spread the epoxy on the sensor then press it to the location for "at least 90 seconds". I pressed it on there for more than 10 minutes. Walked away, and 5 minutes later the sensor had fallen to the pool bottom. I researched the issue and found that a thick gel version of superglue would work "underwater". And it did in 15 seconds!Add to the sensor problems that instructions shows an area where the water level should be but the text says "1 to 1.5 inches up from bottom". Those two are not the same. I winged it and it worked but pretty scary to place it after all the issues with mounting it. All they'd need to do is to print a water line on the sensor. Voila! After all that it's working like it should, but an unfinished consumer product if I ever saw one. And for $800 it should be easy to fix the several install issues to make for much happier customers.I will update as I experience the product in action...

Great system
Purchased this a little over a year ago now. Sturdy system that has held up and done it's job for me. Easy to install and easy to use. As long as you take your time and follow the directions, the autofill will do it's job so you can have one less worry for your pool or hot tub.

Great Design
Great product, and easy to install with provided instructions!!!! Simple operation and I love the fact it does not require antiquated floats for level sensing. This has been in operation for 6 months and I love being able to monitor the pool remotely. Totally eliminates the chance of overfilling and the need for manual filling.

Easy install, works as advertised.
Plumbing to the water source is the only thing that takes a little planning. once the valve is plumbed into the system and water source the installation is very simple. It kept my water level stable all summer.

Garbage
Broke over and over. Flooded my lawn. Manufacturer did nor stand behind the product. Pool company said it was utter crap and that the manufacturer would not answer calls. The pool company eventually removed the unit and installed a simple timer. Or a waste of money.
