We bought 2 of these and use both all the time. One in the kitchen and one in the quilt room. We both highly recommend this one - it magnifies quite well, with the light making it easier to see. Another one of those "must haves" for seniors. Here's an idea - how about picking up a few products like this for your favorite senior's Christmas or birthday gift? This, an extended grabber to put things in cabinets & take down, the extended reach shoehorn (get the heavy metal one, NOT plastic), the silicone pieces to open jars that are impossible to open and a few other items. You will suddenly become their favorite person that you gave a gift they will USE and LOVE.

Bought 2 of these to get the 2FER discount price. One is perfect, the other has a battery door that doesn't work quite right, but I already (stupidly) trashed the packaging away, so we'll see about return - or maybe I'll dig in the trash bins outside for the packaging. So, here's my review of the product:BE AWARE: 2AA batteries are needed, and NOT included.WEIGHT: Very heavy at 11.7 OZ when equipped with 2 required batteries. Kind of glass-end heavily weighted, so if you are reading with a book on your lap, it will be a chore to hold it up for very long.FIELD OF VISION: a bit of a problem, but it's ROUND glass, so what did I expect?LIGHTS are not removable or replaceable, so this is destined for landfill someday.COLOR: why am I reviewing color? Because I bought the black & orange one at a big discount, probably because it was intended for Halloween trick-or-treating safety in checking out candy packaging. BUT this magnifying glass is too heavy for small children to lug around. The parent/guardian will have to lug it, which is a good idea anyway, since the guardian should be the one to check candy wrappers for tampering.Pretty good product, but be aware of the issues above.

It does magnify as advertised. I do not have a way to guage 2x 3x etc, but have found nothing I have that it wont show details for. As previouus reviews have said it is heavy, but I bought it for short term use to view hard to read details , not for long term reading. Good product for the cost. The lighting is adequate.

The media could not be loaded. Great magnifying glass. A little hard to switch out the batteries but otherwise good build quality

I have Macla degeneration this is perfect to help read or turn on the stove light ect
