I just started using this brand, but so far I find they are as good as some of the top brands.

However it is much cheaper than the Kirkland ball. Sadly it feels harder and does not perform as well. Hard to make it check up on a chip shot.

Original review is 3 stars and just OK. I am definitely not an expert when judging golf balls, but I compared this to the Titleist brand of balls I typically use. As far as distance is concerned, the website claims it gives you 30 additional yards, compared to the same height at free fall, than any brands you can purchase in the stores. I did not notice any significant difference in the distance, but I did notice the Titleist had more of a bounce than the PGM brand. Price for a dozen was cheaper than my brand, but not worth changing for me. **Revised- I started using this brand a little more often when my friend gave me a Callaway soft to compare. We both played both balls for a few rounds and felt these were comparable for distance. I changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars and ended up purchasing another box. Since it is a no name brand, it is definitely easier to tell which ball is mine.

Let’s be honest, these are off-brand golf balls and while they may not have the flashy sponsorships of the top brands, they do have a place on the golf course. That place is for weekend golfers looking to save some money on replenishing the golf balls they shank into the forest or dunk into the water. Take a look at the side of the print on the ball…it literally says “VS- Famous Brand”. They talk about “three piece design”. Well, several people have cut these balls open to examine how the ball is put together and PGM has an “inner core” which on visual inspection is an uneven sphere with a bunch of air pockets between the inner core and the outer layer. This isn’t good for balance nor for consistent hitting. Again, these balls will be fine for the average golfer, but I’ll buy you a steak dinner if the next PGA championship winner has these in their bag.
