Rowlinson Large Bin Store

The flat-packed triple bin store was delivered plastic wrapped and conveniently arranged in three packages. The wood quality was better than just satisfactory and the pre-assembled elements were well built and dimensionally accurate. Everything went together well although pilot holes did need to be drilled for most of the screws. The instructions were generally very good, with clear text as well as diagrams, but just a little more detail would have been helpful in some places.Having completed assembly, the store comfortably accommodates three standard 240l wheelie bins, the door bolts work smoothly, the doors swing open and shut smoothly, the lids can be lifted and propped open easily, and it looks good in the garden.All in all, a fit-for-purpose product that should do the job for many years to come, and being wood can easily be repaired if that becomes necessary.

Quality timber, attractive design and works for wheelie bin storage. However for the price, it’s outrageous that the pilot holes are not pre-drilled and the few that are, are not all in the right place and poorly done so need redrilling anyway. Chains to lift bin lids not compatible with the new wheelie bins which don’t have hook handles you can loop the chain round.

This looks really good and the lid system has chains to pull up the bin lid inside, and a prop to hold open. Each compartment has a door secured with a small bolt. It is a 2 person job to put it together, purely because of it's size, needing on to hold whilst the other secures, but the instructions were good and it was relatively easy to construct. Very happy with it.

I was keen to hide away my 3 ugly plastic bins, and looked at a few options, including a simple screen. This was more expensive than most but it looks fab and will last for years. It is a bit of a project so don’t think you’ll get it built in an hour or two. I’ve been building mine gradually for the past two weeks, due to work and other commitments - a helper would be useful, plus reasonable DIY skills. I bolted mine to the side of my house so it’ll never move in strong winds, although actually it’s quite heavy so that might not be essential. Still not yet added the doors, that’s my final task tomorrow. Very pleased overall and I hope my neighbours are pleased too!

Looks really good. It’s a little flimsy but does the job. Fittings were good quality but again a little flimsy which seems silly when they are relatively cheap anyway. Assembly was a bit fiddly but all the parts were there. At the end of the day it’s only really a bin cover but a little more attention to detail and fittings quality would make a difference.I love how it looks and it has transformed what was a dreary bit of garden with two ugly bins into a smart space.

Not as sturdy as they appear and a bit if a pain to assemble even with two people.Absolutely need a flat surface to work on and they don’t really work on even the slightest slope once assembled.Disappointed to find there is no back either so need placed against a wall or something for support.All parts were complete though and the instructions quite straight forward.Would likely go for plastic version if ordering again.

Great item, fits 2 x 240l bins. Ordered 2, fairly easy to build - hardest part was getting them level.
