Steam Deck Approved
I recently took a gamble on an NVMe drive that seemed almost too good to be true in terms of pricing. Skepticism aside, I decided to give it a shot, and boy, am I glad I did! The drive not only turned out to be real, but it exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the packaging was solid and well-protected, ensuring the NVMe drive arrived in pristine condition. It's always a relief when you order a tech component, and it's delivered with care. Installation was a breeze. I was a bit apprehensive about compatibility, especially since I was installing it on my 64GB Steam Deck. However, the NVMe drive slid into place seamlessly, and within minutes, I had expanded my storage to a whopping 1TB. Talk about a game-changer! The speed and performance of this drive are remarkable. Games load faster, and the increased storage space allows me to carry an extensive library on my Steam Deck without worrying about running out of room. It's like having a portable gaming powerhouse in the palm of my hands. What truly sets this NVMe drive apart is its unbeatable price. While I initially questioned whether it was too good to be true, the product delivered on all fronts. It's a testament to the fact that quality tech doesn't always have to come with a hefty price tag. In conclusion, if you're in need of additional storage for your gaming setup and come across this NVMe drive, don't hesitate. It's a fantastic investment that won't break the bank. My Steam Deck has never been happier, and neither have I. Kudos to the makers of this incredible product!

Perfect for movies and box sets
I feel i have to write a review about KingSpec XG7000 NVMe 2TB SSD (i guess it should be relevant to all NVMe SSD?) as i was looking for a good solution for transferring all our DVD's to hard drive for convenience, and although i do know that it is possible to transfer media to hard drives, i really wasn't sure about the compatibility with an NVMe drive, as everywhere i looked for reviews and guidance (including dozens of Amazon reviews), i couldn't find a single review saying that an NVMe drive is good for media playback through a TV, or in our case, playback streaming through the router which is so convenient as it is just like having our own in-house private streaming service and available to all the TVs in our home and I'm very happy to confirm that it does indeed work a treat. I'm not a regular computer user and don't play any games consoles, but but in my middle aged opinion, transferring 147 episodes of The Dukes of Hazard in 2 minutes 15 seconds as an example is really fast and I'm glad not to be spending a lot of time sitting in front of the PC. Once the NVMe was formatted, it shown 1.89TB out of the 2TB and so far i have used 733GB which is 1167 movies and episodes from box sets and so there is still plenty of space for future movies and box sets. The KingSpec 2TB NVMe cost me just under £94 and i had to purchase an inclosure to put it in which only cost £16 also from Amazon and is a good item too, it is a good quality aluminium item, as in the pictures, that came with two different cables (USB type A to type C and also type C to type C) a screwdriver, extra screws and two thermal strips. The NVMe works perfectly for downloading media such as movies and box sets for watching on a TV and i would recommend the KingSpec NVMe if anyone is looking for a reasonably priced and fast hard drive. I hope this review helps others to decide that an NVMe SSD is a great solution for anyone who is looking to idea of putting movies and box sets onto a hard drive for the purpose of plugging it into a TV or to stream though a router... It works perfectly and has super speeds for transferring media.

Not 100% Legion Go compatible, but it does work
Ordered this drive as I've been heavily using my Legion Go for day to day tasks as well as being my on-the-go gaming device. 2TB was probably overkill but hey, might as well. Unfortunately the 2TB model is a double sided drive and the Legion Go was not designed for these. Whilst it fits, it's putting slight pressure on the WiFi module and that does worry me. I tightened the screw so it was not too tight but tight enough that it wouldn't work itself loose over time, as any tighter started bending it which definitely isn't healthy. The back panel still closes fine though so that's something at least. Cloned my original drive over which took about a half hour - it was nearly full. It did get very hot doing that but in normal use it seems to run a lot cooler at around 55c when transferring games. So I'm not too fussed. Speed wise it goes like the clappers. 7GB/s read with 6GB/s writes - it's the real deal. Not sure if that's particularly necessary on a handheld but hey I'll take it! In terms of longevity, we'll see how that goes. I'll report back in 6 months and see how it's doing. If you buy the 1TB model or a smaller drive, I would imagine they are single sided drives and should fit no problem. If you are worried about this issue with the 2TB model, go for the Corsair MP600 as I believe that one is single sided. EDIT: It's now December and the drive is still running perfectly fine, I've not had any issues with it. Perfectly reliable and doesn't get overly hot either.

Not too bad.
The read speed is around the number advertised (close to 7000MB/s when I tested it), which is pretty surprising given the low price of £49.99. It should be compatible with most M.2 “M key” slots, though you may need an extender board to properly secure it. I haven’t really noticed any considerable difference in the boot time so far. Performance-wise it seems to be fairly decent, though it seems to micro-stutter when playing games like Hearts of Iron IV. Heat level seems to be normal. The drive has to be formatted to be properly recognised by the PC, but that’s just standard procedure really. KingSpec isn’t a brand with a lot of brand recognition, but this SSD drive is honestly not too bad.

Dead on Arrival
Arrived but unfortunately wouldn’t even power up. Purchased a Corsair MP600 as a replacement and it works flawlessly.

Compact, easy to use and handy
I have a number of computers around the house, desktops and laptops, I regularly upgrade and often find myself with an occasional spare part without a home. Recently I seem to be upgrading SSDs and had a 1Tb, 512Gb and a 256Gb SSD spare. Looking around I found I had a spare caddy so that was the 1Tb drive sorted, and incidentally confiscated by my wife! I purchased 2 of these to sort out the other 2, they are pretty solid, the clip that hold the tray in place is robust and secure, fitting the drives was simple and very quick. I like that the USB cable as configured with a cap to switch from USB C to C to USB C to A providing a lot of flexibility and they even work with my mobile phone :) very good and great value for money. Next time I find myself with spare drives I will be ordering more.
