Works for keto
I am on keto and make my own pasta. The main ingredients are vital wheat gluten, lupin flour, and eggs. The extruder did a great job with my dough. There was no residue and only about a quarter cup didn't go through. I used that leftover dough to practice making shells by hand.The photo is of my first try.

Good for the cost
I'm always concerned when kitchen aid attachments are plastic, ie the meat grinder I got was junk, but this worked well. The dryness of the dough plays a big part on how well it works. It's a little bit of a pain to clean, but most of my attachments are. For the cost it's a good deal in my opinion

Good product for price cleaning is not fun

Use dry dough
If your dough is super sticky, it won't extrude. Gotta be dry. Just let the dough dry for cleaning. Don't soak it.
