I am very impressed. There are several aspects of your system that I like MUCH better than my old Swann system that has now died. Recently, we had occassion to replace most of our home security system due to damage caused by a nearby lightning stirke. We upgraded our old DVR to the TIGERSECU model which is the subject of this post. To facilitate the rapid isolation of all components when lightning threatens again, we redid the cabling and power supply arrangement. NOTE: Surge protectors help, but the only GUARUNTEE against damage is complete isolation. The photos that follow show how this was done and the products used. Each photo is numbered with a corresponding explanation below. The folks at TIGERSECU are top notch. My questions were answered promptly and thoroughly via email. If you're looking for customer service as it should be (along with great products) this is the place to go. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Complete set-up. Open kitchen is behind camera with sitting and fireplace areas beyond cabinet. Have 8 cameras total. PTZ is in upper left of this 4-pane format. 2 All DVR connections go out the back of cabinet thru the horizontal opening. Main power strip is located on top shelf behind the glass doors. Plugs into a wall outlet out of view to the left of cabinet. Pulling one plug disconnects all electrical. 3 Larger view of wiring with left side of cabinet pulled out. Video (yellow) at the top and power (red) at the bottom. PTZ is to the right. Arrangement provides plenty of room to quickly disconnect all video and power from the DVR. The 9-way power splitter (See A below) allows for a single plug into the power strip referenced above. 4 Closer view of the 7 HD video connections and the PTZ. The coaxial jumpers (see B below) allow for easy connections out the back of the cabinet. 5 Closer view of PTZ connections…..video on left, controls on right. The male (top) and female (bottom) RS485 connectors (see C below) easily snap together and come apart with a gentle tug. 6 Demonstrates the futility of trying to disconnect everything directly from the DVR. The TIGERSECU Super HD 1080P DVR was easy to set up and install, even for someone without much technical experience. It works well with multiple camera formats and the included 1TB hard drive provides plenty of storage. Was able to view on desktop, mobile, and direct connect HD monitor. However, the mobile app for playback could use some improvements. It doesn’t highlight or mark motion-detected events, so reviewing footage can be time-consuming—you have to manually sift through hours of video to see if anything occurred. Overall, a solid system with great value, but the playback feature could be more user-friendly.

Great product ... Good quality and works out of the box.

I ordered this tiger SECU to replace a system that I’ve had nothing but problems with so I just anticipated that this was going to be a long hard night setting up my cameras getting everything on an app so I can view it on my phone, but I was wrong!!!!! Let me just say this is a plug-in system. I literally plugged it in plugged my cameras in the back, and it immediately showed my cameras on my monitor. I then was prompted by the system to download the app, and it walked me through a very easy process of a QR code, and Walla. My app on my phone was up and running. It literally took me 15 minutes to unboxed it and install it most of the time was taking the cables off the old device and getting the old device out of the way it was setting up the system I highly highly recommend the system. It has HD quality that surpasses tenfold my other system. My other system was an LTS garbage the uploads fairly fast and the picture is super clear. If there’s any changes I will update my review

As described and setup was very easy. I replaced my old dvr with this one. I just connected the plugs and it worked and connected to the internet without needing any IT knowledge. It comes with a remote which is super helpful and something other dvr companies do not offer. The app is good and user friendly. The only feedback I would give is I hope the playback feature is more user friendly on the app.

J’ai acheté ce DVR dans le but de recevoir des notifications sur mon iPhone en cas de détection de mouvement au début février 2025. J’ai reçu des notifications les deux premières semaines ensuite tout a cessé de fonctionner. J’ai réinitialisé le système et reformaté le disque dur comme spécifié dans le manuel d’utilisation et rien n’a changé. J’ai communiqué avec le service à la clientèle, on m’a répondu que le problème serait résolu rapidement mais rien n’est fait. On m’a répondu d’être patient mais cela dure depuis plus de deux mois. Avoir su que la fonction notification cesserait de fonctionner, je n’aurais pas acheté ce DVR. Dommage parce qu’à Part ce problème, les autres fonctions du DVR fonctionnent très bien.
