These figures are fairly well-sculpted, but their limbs don't really bend much - it is impossible, for instance, to arrange any of them in a seated position. The best you can hope for is to have them extend their arms forwards in a gesture touchingly reminiscent of supplication, which is rendered all the more poignant when their hands have fallen off. Which they tend to do. Arthur lost his right hand after a couple of hours when his sword was placed in it, which frankly bodes ill for the future of Camelot; his left fell off after a few days too, possibly out of a desire for symmetry. Merlin lost his right hand the other day when a torch was placed in it. Gaius and Morgana (whose robes make their legs rather redundant) are still intact, but all they ever do is stand around and say stuff anyway.

I bought this set of Merlin figurines for my daughter who is a big fan of Merlin, and she has had a lot of fun with them!! The detail is fantastic and they're a great accompanying toy for this wonderful series!
