They do a pretty good job convincing you these are a German made but right on the outside of the gift box it says made in China. But they're good clippers. I'll keep em.

I’ve never had clippers this sharp. Heavy duty and very good quality at a great price. These cut nails with easy very happy with the product.

The clippers I got came in a cheap cardboard tube with a foam holder, not the metal storage case shown in the item's photos. The clippers work well on toenails; however, they only bite off small chunks of the nail at a time so you are left with ragged edges. I don't mind this so much as my toenails have to be clipped in stages no matter what clippers I use. These are sharp and accurate. Since the edge is slanted and small I can work it under the nail's corners easily. I will just have to buy some more Emory boards to file down the cut. The clippers are good, the storage container is a bait and switch!
