Bodymould Memory Foam Mattress Topper, 2 Inch, UK Small Double, Yellow : desertcart.co.uk: Home & Kitchen Review: Very comfortable, after 2 years, still top condition! - I bought this almost 2 years ago, and forgot to review it until now. (I am currently looking for a 3inch one now though, hence why i noticed i forgot to review it). However I hope this review is helpful for anyone who wants to know if it lasts a few years. (which is does) It is a great and comfy memory foam topper, excellent value. I live in a high rise flat, and I got a little concerned of overheating. (as my flat bedroom refuses to go below 21oC due to communal heating under the floor annoying in the summer! it never ever goes off) However, all year round I have never found myself getting too hot, except when it was mid-summer and it was 39-42oC in the flat. which anyone would be too hot anyway. So if you worry about it overheating you at night, it does not, it does however keep you warmer quicker in the winter should you be cold. it reflects your body heat, so for me my bed is always the perfect temperature. The only downside, is it does not come with a cover, and I DO recommend you get one, it discoloured rather quickly so it now looks really horrible looking, however it still works great. (I suffer from night-sweats, so it discoloured quickly) However, if you get a cover it will stay clean for longer, and it is not a fault of the product. The product after almost 2 years, is still it top condition (other then the discolour) it works perfectly great still, the only reason im going to replace it is due to personal choice wanting the 3cm deep one. the smell however, I do recall was horrendous and made me sick for 2 weeks, luckily I have a spare room I was able to dump it on the floor to air out. A Review: Why did I wait so long? - I've toyed with the idea of getting a new bed for a while, as I always love hotel room beds. This made me think I needed something softer than I had. I then discovered memory foam mattress toppers, and went shopping in Liverpool. The first one I saw was £200. I therefore decided not to bother. Fast forward another year and I decide to look on desertcart. To my surprise I saw this well rated topper and decided to take the plunge. It was delivered the next day with a courtesy email advising of delivery time (to within an hour). I got it home and have now spent 4 nights with it and it has completely changed my quality of sleep. I'm much more comfortable and supported. My bed is now as comfortable as those posh ones in hotels. 2 inches is fine. I don't think 3 inches would be of any significant difference (plus I'd have to buy new fitted sheets that allow for thicker mattresses). My topper and mattress are just about the maximum depth that a regular fitted sheet will allow. The much discussed chemical smell was barely noticeable, although it was there. I have given the topper time to air out and it now barely smells at all (after 4 nights). Thanks for an affordable solution to my problem. Better quality sleep will probably add years to my life and all for less than £50. What have I been waiting for?!

Good for the price
Arrived not even 24 hours after ordering! Box a little battered but inside the product was fine. Really compressed into its packaging so took a little convincing to get it out! As with some other reviews, mine isn't quite cut straight which is a little annoying as it sits just short of the edges of the bed in some places. Instructions a little contradicting - packaging says leave for a few hours to settle, whereas care leaflet says use straight away as normal. Was going to leave it, but I'm too impatient so put it straight on the bed. The smell was a little strong, but nothing to disturb sleep and I didn't notice it when I woke up! While the topper has some memory to it, I'd say it is more verging on normal foam as opposed to memory foam. (Or at least compared to the previous memory foam topper I had) That said though, I did have a very comfortable nights sleep and am pleased with this product considering the price. Just wish the washable covers had been a little cheaper so I could treat myself to one of those too!

Excellent Product - Coverts an old mattress in to a new one
Like many on here, I've read the reviews and thought that this product could be a bit true to believe. I was in a dilema - do I go for the 1" 2" or 3"! The reason for wanting something like this was indeed to put on the spare bed, to give it a little more life! well I opted for 2" and I cannot speak highly enough about this product! It arrived in a big blue bag, folded in 4, took it home and the smell that came out of the bag wasn't the nicest, but was reassured by the care instructions, saying that these are non toxic and that it would clear in a couple of hours, but it is safe to put on the bed straight away! I opted to airing it for a couple of hours in the spare room, smell then dissapeared. I put it on the spare bed, on top of an old Ikea double mattress and i couldn't believe the difference it made to the bed! needless to say the topper didn't end up on the spare bed but my own - I already have a memeory foam mattress but this makes it much more comfortable to sleep on. In fact i never lay in - and I overslept by a couple of hours - i've never ever done this - trust me its comfortable (VERY) If you go for the 1" you should be ok with current fitted sheets, but ive had to buy kingsize for the 2" to fit a double bed - I supoose this just depends how deep you orignal mattress is. Thinking seriously about going and buying the 3" Great product!!
