Right handed only
Got this for my 5 year old, fits perfectly on his right hand. He is left handed. It isn’t specified anywhere in the description but all the pictures only show the right hand. Otherwise a pretty decent product.

Broke
Returning it. Doesn’t work and it broke first time I tried it. I’m an OT and hopes for a student who hooks their wrist. Didn’t get to try it on that student.

Not a wow
This is ok but not a game changer. Sometimes I don't remember how to put it on. Something is missing to make it better. I just don't know what that is.

Great tool for learning to write
I work with children on the spectrum. This tool is really great for teaching them to grip their writing tool.

I’ve been teaching my 2.5 year old granddaughter how to print. She really wants to learn to read so we start with printing first. I’ve taught her to hold the pencil by getting her to hold her thumb and forefinger as you would for doing a dinosaur shadow puppet. It makes it easy for her to remember that part of it, but for where the rest of the pencil goes – over or under the dinosaur head – is still not clear to her. I think this grip corrector really helps with that. She can do her dinosaur and then make sure the pencil hits that button on the gripper. It’s easy to put on, comfortable, and is a great visual clue for her to get everything properly into position. I highly recommend it.

✏️Best feature: more of a pencil positioner, than the handwriting corrected. May help with hand fatigue 👍Wrist band is comfortable around the wrist, accommodations up to 8.5 inches. The grip is made of soft silicone, and the combo of the band on the grip holds the correct angle of the writing tool. How it works: it keeps the pencil nib on the paper and the other end towards the ceiling at an angle, so the crayon or the pencil can slide smoothly and not at a 90° angle. Depending on the size of child’s hand, and then pressure put on the pencil , the hook may be flexible. 😃FYI: Patience and a smile and rewarding good handwriting will work in the long run. I enjoyed sharing, hope it helps.

My son has challenges with holding pens and pencils the right way and we got this as a means to help assist in positioning the pen correctly. It does work well as a positioning aid however it is not entirely comfortable for long sessions and can quickly switch from a positioning aid to a "I don't need to hold it anymore" device. Quality wise the device is decent however I would want to ideally see the straps be softer or more plush and the "hook" to have a little more rigidity to it rather then be so flexible.

I got this for my youngest daughter who is not holding her pencil properly and was hoping it would correct the issue. So far it hasn't helped at all. It seems quite flimsy and it isn't helping adjust how she holds the pencil. Currently costing $14.99
