It works...it ABSOLUTELY WORKS!
I recently traded in my 2018 Street Glide Special for a newer 2023 Street Glide because I wanted the same bike with super low miles. While I wait for my upgraded engine parts to show up, I did my research to see if I could get Apple CarPlay to work on the newer radio (my 2018 still had the older Boom GTX radio, and I really wanted the newer radio (Boom GTS) that came 1 yr later and is available on the 2019 - 2023 HD Street Glide & Road Glide models. I literally ride every day (over 225K riding miles) but I also work in IT so I fully understand this adapter and exactly WHAT it's doing. So, let me explain. H-D & Apple had an agreement to get Apple CarPlay onto the new HD radio (BOOM GTS). In that agreement, H-D had to program the BOOM GTS radio to ONLY work with Apple CarPlay when a WHIM (wireless headset interface module) was attached to the new radio. The WHIM has a microphone that allows full CarPlay functionality by utilizing SIRI for voice commands. Apple didn't want to allow CarPlay on these radios that had partial functionality without SIRI voice control. Without a microphone, SIRI does not work, because the radio can't here you talk. So, early on, there were some software hacks that dealers could use to make the radio work by using programmers to trick the radio into thinking that there was a WHIM installed (literally hacking the radio via software). Dealerships were using this hack & H-D was sued by Apple and won the case because it was contractually agreed upon that the WHIM had to be installed. Since software hacks were no longer legally allowed, dealerships stopped doing the hack and customers weren't happy about it. As with ALL computers and software, with enough digging, there are usually hacks around these limitations. Someone discovered that these new radios were hardwired (meaning they were built to look for certain things that cannot be changed by software) that if they created a clip that simply connected 2 pins on the connector (called a jumper) that the radio would think that a WHIM is installed and no software update could "fix" the glitch. This clip attaches to the wiring harness of your 2019-2023 H-D BOOM GTS radio and simply connects 2 contact points to trick your radio into thinking you have a WHIM. Again, if you have a 2019 - 2023 Street Glide, Road Glide or HD Ultra Limited (as specified in the title heading) then this will work to give you Apple CarPlay with full hand control functionality (except SIRI controlled options). Here's what you need to do. Watch online videos on how to remove the front fairing (including headlight). It's 7 torx screws (you'll need a torx screwdriver), your windshield and undoing 2 clips (at least that's what my 2023 has) to remove the fairing from the bike. Once it's off, you need to locate the grey wiring harness clip that is shown in the product pictures. I spent far too long looking for a "hidden" clip that was literally right in front of my face the whole time. The clip has an attached plug to keep dust out of it, so you have to pull that off to get access to the connection part of the clip. Once exposed, snap this piece onto the end (it literally clicks into place). Once connected, leave the fairing off the bike so you can try it out. Make sure you have a legitimate Apple lighting cable or a fully working USB-C cable to test it out. Many aftermarket lightning cables are charging cables only, and aren't fully compatible with data transmission. If you've plugged in the adapter, connected your phone to the USB-A connection in the phone compartment on your fairing and Apple CarPlay doesn't show up within about 20 seconds of powering on your bike, SWAP YOUR CABLE! There's a VERY good chance your cable is the issue and NOT the adapter. Mine took about 10-20 seconds before prompting me to allow CarPlay on my phone. Once I approved, CarPlay popped up on the BOOM GTS and works EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED!!! I have the newest Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max with USB-C connector. The last few years of iPhones have the USB-C connection, so depending on your iPhone model, you will either need a USB-A to lightning cable OR a USB-A to USB-C cable to connect to your phone. Once you have CarPlay up and running on your bike, then shut if off and re-install your fairing. Now, on to WIRELESS CarPlay!! Once everything is working with this adapter, get on Amazon and search for this wireless CarPlay adapter:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGTRPM8T?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1This little guy is AWESOME! You need to delete the BOOM GTS radio from your phone's Bluetooth settings if you've already paired it for audio streaming. Next, delete your phone from the BOOM GTS radio via the Bluetooth devices. Once that is done, connect this tiny little wireless adapter to the USB-A connector in your fairing phone compartment and turn on the bike. It's takes about 10 seconds or so for it to show up in your Bluetooth devices on your phone, but once it does, connect to it. It does it's magic in the background and in about 20 seconds you have WIRELESS CarPlay on your bike. From that point forward, you can leave your phone in your pocket (or saddlebag) and wireless CarPlay connects automatically within about 15 to 20 seconds of starting your bike. Seriously A+++++++++ on this ingenious connector that ABSOLUTELY WORKS! Hope this review helps somebody.

Works, with correct cable, great customer service
So first off, installation is incredibly simple and took maybe 5 minutes. Once connected however I was still not seeing CarPlay come up and began thinking it wasn’t going to work for me and my bike, tried a few things even tried with a different cable and still no luck. My phone was charging when connected so I thought surely something’s not right I’m charging but nothings showing on the screen. So I wrote to the seller letting them know it wasn’t working. In the meantime my wife suggested that I try a third different cable, as I connected it and turned on the bike I was extremely happy to see the CarPlay app showing on the screen! And it was just bad cables or cheap cables. The seller responded and graciously offered to send a replacement but stated that they didn’t know why it wouldn’t be working. I then informed them of my solution. My recommendation to the seller is to include cables with the order, they are a cheap solution to a frustrating problem. If you purchased this and are having connection issues check with a good data cable first, yes there are possible settings on the phone or bike that could cause this issues as well but if CarPlay works on another device than it’s most likely the cable!

unblocks apple carplay on 2024 Ultra Limited
2024 Ultra Limited Harley. Watched a few videos, was skeptical a bit. 4 bolts and 3 windshield bolts. Slid fairing out about 6 inches....no need to remove it all the way. Grey plug is located in plain view 3 inches below where windshield mounts. I removed plug cap and plugged this in. This adaptor along with the "Jemluse Wireless Carplay Adaptor" (Amazon) enabled me to get carplay in 5 minutes......total spent $50
