Our 12yo grandson has long been desperate to get a "wooden clock" kit. So, for his birthday, grandad obliged! Working together, assembly took most of a Saturday - about 6 hours.We found the video in the Amazon listing to be particularly helpful. Based on other reviews, we took great care preparing the parts, giving them a light sanding and checking alignment etc. This was time well spent even if our grandson found it a little tedious!We didn't treat the parts but if you want to to use a stain or sealant, do it before assembly! The pendulum mechanism is clockwork while the actual clock uses a supplied quartz device. Indeed, the only thing missing from the kit is an AA battery for the clock.We both greatly enjoyed the assembly process and our grandson now has a working clock in his room! I suspect grandad will now be expected to provide bigger and more complex kits in the future....At £28, this kit is reasonably priced and delivery was same day. We are rather chuffed 😀 😊

This was a gift for my husband (each Christmas he gets a wooden puzzle from me). he liked the owl clock particular due to its mechanical features and it is not one of the dust collectors but we actually use it as a clock in the living room.

Bought this as a puzzle for my Sister [Adult] to keep her mind busy during wet weather.It is a puzzle, you do need to read the instructions, some of the bits are fiddly, but as a 3D puzzle that works, its "Quite Neat", as she says.

This is a good starter puzzle, although it does have some nightly bits, with very little information given in the instructions. Certainly you need to use wax on the dowel used to hold the cogs. Think there is an issue with ours as the spring pushes the main cog off vertical and the cog above that I’ve had to put washers in to keep it from jamming. So 3 hours to assemble then 2 days of fiddling to get it working. Certainly wouldn’t recommend for anyone who doesn’t have a knowledge of kinectics.

My husband loved doing this model. He did manage to break a couple of thin pieces but sorted it out. The ticking movement is lovely. Would recommend

Buenas, le encargamos a los Reyes Magos esta maqueta de Búho + otra de cámara de video.Empezamos con la de video y es fantástica.... Os la recomiendo a todos.Cuando hemos empezado a montar ésta, nos falta la lámina "A" con lo cual es imposible montarla.Una pena, porque es todo para la basura....Es un fallo de fábrica pues venía todo bien precintado...Desilusión total del peque, pues no comprende porqué los Reyes Magos han hecho algo así (7 años)
