I bought these for my son and he has been busy with them ever since doing all sorts of experiments to see what he can make them do. It's been fantastic and as far as we can tell they are perfectly compatible with the lego brand parts. The motors seem to be plenty strong and the switches and wiring are holding up great. Buy these if you need something to spur on your kid's imagination!

Worked great for about a year until my kid managed to damage each of the fast motors. Not the fault of the manufacturer, of course. The flimsiness of the cables, with little strain-relief, seems to be one reason it happened as fast as it did. I hope to take the motors apart and see if I can fix them. They'll work, still, but only if you hold the cable at just the right angle. Any smart phone or handheld game user knows all about how to do that, though!If you're wondering why the star was removed, still, it's due to the controller. It seems to have trouble knowing if you're rotating one of knobs clockwise or counter-clockwise. Sometimes, I'd be trying to reduce the speed by rotating it opposite and it would almost act like the receive was confused how to adjust the speed. Not 100% sure that was about but it was not a breaking issue so I never thought about it!

There are various shapes, allowing for creative building. It's suitable for both kids and adults. Keeps me engaged for hours. Quality is great, no sharp edges. A wonderful way to spend free time and boost creativity.

So I get the product to motorized and controll a lego technic set i had. I could not do that because it came with a missing piece. An important piece that was the signal transmitter to go to the controller. I open the box it came in and look through the items and it is gone. The most important piece. I did not only want lights I wanted more and the piece I needed was gone. On top of that it arrived after it was eligible to be returned.

My 10 year old knows more about Legos and Lego motors than I do. He is an engineer in the making. He has hooked it up to many parts and got the moving, he is enjoying playing around with it. Items seem decent quality, and for the price, I think it is worth it. Would buy again if needed!
