Using this to clean out my cutting torch tip. Seems to work adequately enough so far. Probably a bunch of other home uses too.

I had a generator which had sat for 8 years and would not start with new gasoline. I pulled the carburetor apart and found the jet was completely plugged up. I used a wire to open it up and clean it best I could and reassembled. It started but would only run on full choke. I put some carburetor/injector cleaner in the gasoline and ran 8 to 10 times over the next 24 hours but it did not help. So I got this and removed the solenoid from the bottom of the bowl, and used the largest wire I could to ream out the jet. Put the solenoid back on, and it started on first pull. It ran like new with no choke. I was delighted find the wires are knurled like a miniature rat tailed file so it was easy to ream out the jet.

I needed a Carburetor wire and brush cleaner the price was right for what I needed.

I repair and rebuild carburetors on outdoor power equipment, outboard marine engines, motorcycles, automobiles and trucks. Gasohol is problematic on metal carbs! Time for a new set of jet and orfice tools!

I didn't realize until after I received this that my pilot jet is .35 mm so there wasn't one small enough to fit through (it does list the sizes in the description). I was, however, still able to clear the obstruction with the really cool pokey tool with the screw on cap. One of the other sizes worked well on the main jet. And the brushes worked well to clean other areas. Glad I bought it.
