MokerLink 8 Port 10Gbps Etheret Switch, Support 10G/5G/2.5G/1000M/100M Auto-Negotiation, 160Gbps Bandwidth Unmanaged Plug and Play Switch

I bought this switch in August and it completely failed last week. I contacted Mokerlink customer service and they sent me a new switch within days. So, I give them an A+ for excellent customer service. And, the new switch works perfectly.

I'm a RJ-45 guy and appreciate 8 10Gbps ports at a tolerable price. I have a short burst but otherwise low demand environment. Throughput near 10Gbps when needed -- as promised. No glitches. Can't hear it above the noise of server fans. Recommended.

I have the 8 gig service from google fiber and this switch worked great for the first 6 months, after that I started noticing inconstant speeds across different ports. Eventually if I wanted anything over 3500mb I could only use 5 of the 8 ports. Fast forward another couple of months and now the switch is dropping connections multiple times an hour on every port. Usually lasting 5-10 seconds, just long enough that I am disconnecting from video conferencing meetings at work. In the evenings my wife and I can not play online games without getting disconnects.

Only 4 of the 8 ports worked when this switch arrived. All 8 would initialize but then ports 5-8 would shut down. No lights, no traffic. Immediately returned to Amazon

I got this switch to upgrade from a smaller switch, I use several 10gb equipment (2 NAS a computer with 10gb connection and 2.5gb internet) it’s a mini data center I have in my home office for video production. So I figured I’d get the x8 port switch in case I need more connections. And this thing does not disappoint in performance, blazing fast data access and I can edit 4K footage right off my NAS.. however, this is the loudest equivalent I have in my entire home louder than the fridge, even lol iouder than a washing machine!. The fans on this thing are so loud I can hear from downstairs. It’s a buzz kill because

Works well with my home network. I have my main computer, 2 servers, 2 TVs, and my partners computer all attached to it.

This switch is working great as my core switch. I have Cat6 in my house. I have two of those drops at 10 GbE, one at 2.5 GbE, and the rest at 1 GbE. All are working great. I’m not sure you can find another 10GBaseT switch with 8 ports at this price point. I’ve already recommended it to a colleague.

10Gbps環境が整い、12/25環境を構築したところ2026/01/04から突然切断されるようになりました。あまり熱はないようです。これでは使い物になりません。別のポートで試していますがどうなるでしょうか。

Just got it, so not sure about long term, but this part of the info on the Amazon site is inaccurate. Widely Used: Metal case, LED indicators, *** fanless design ***, quiet and stable operation. Desktop/Rackmount(with rack ear), can be used as a core, distribution or access layer switch. Multiple devices can be connected, such as 2.5G/5G/10G WiFi6 AP, NAS, PCIe Adapter/NIC, Server, 8K video, and more. Not really happy about that.. makes noise and worried about long term of the fan.

does kind of what it says, but is a bit misleading. Description says it negotiates down to 5 and 2.5, which i needed for my specific devices on that part of the network. It does not in fact do that. my system with a 5g card negotiates to 1g, and so does every devices with a 2.5g adapter. I had to get a second 2.5g switch to get faster speeds out of it. This is only good for routing purposes to other 10g devices or if you dont actually care about 10/5/2.5g speeds and just wantthe throughput. Again works fine for what it is, but not what I wanted when i paid this money.

Only 4 out of the 8 ports negotiate to 10G. Others work at 1G. So not really an 8 Port 10Gbps switch.
