Not Quite As Advertised
This is supposed to be 500 mg, but I was sent 1000 mg capsules. If you click the picture of the label, and zoom the picture (details depend on your browser and operating system, but CTRL + Mouse Wheel works for me) you will see the dosage is 1000 mg.I believe Amazon or the manufacturer has an incorrect title for this product.UPDATE: 2/16The manufacturer pointed out an error in my original review. I stand corrected; each capsule is indeed 500 mg. It's the "serving size" that's 1000 mg.I wasn't expecting "serving size" to be anything other than 1. When shopping for a given amount of a vitamin or a supplement, I'm always operating under the assumption that it's easier to swallow one pill than it is to swallow multiple pills. When it comes to supplements, "serving size" can be anything the manufacturer wants it to be. Here it was 2, and I should have been more attentive to the labeling. That was my mistake, and I'm glad to be corrected.I knocked off a star in my original review because I felt the product was not as advertised. This was my error, so I'm restoring the missing star.

It works!
For the type 2 diabetics with a CDL, it works! I was a little skeptical about it, but I knew my A1C was over the limit. I'd heard that cinnamon helped moderate it, but where else do you get cinnamon besides on a icing-coated danish or donut of sorts? My DOT physical was in a couple weeks... I was worried. I tried this and, sure enough, it worked...dropped glucose levels well enough within a couple weeks. In fact, I was amazed at how the cinnamon pills dropped my daily glucose levels...and continues to do so. I'm not really promoting this particular supplier, it's just the one I bought initially...there are plenty of them...1000mg is what I got and took daily. I did some research since then and I THINK "ceylon" is the cinnamon that's native to Sri Lanka...but it's up to you to do further research and make choices. I continue to take cinnamon supplements. I'm going to impress the clinic the next time around!!No holds barred, truck drivers. Get your asses out of the truck and do some cardio walking! ...you know as well as I do that there's plenty of room in those parking lots.

Wasn't helpful for me; I hope it works better for you.
Well, I bought it twice, playing guinea pig on myself again. To tell the truth, I was looking for a way to control elevated blood sugar without medication, but also without major dietary changes. It didn't work. Perhaps it would make a difference with appropriate avoidance of sugar and processed starches, but honestly, once I bit the bullet and started cutting out the sugar and starch almost completely, blood sugar levels dropped as well, so I don't really know that this product is even necessary. Perhaps it will work better for you.I've found the best help so far in reducing elevated blood sugar levels from Arthur Agatston's The South Beach Diet. If you have Prime or KU, you can borrow The South Beach Diet Supercharged (very much the same as the original, but with an exercise program included) for free.Edited - it came to my attention that this had triggered something called "Amazon's sensitivity filter" so, bewildered, I reread my review and found a word, (which I'll delete since even with an asterisk it is apparently still setting off the filter), which I altered to see if that was setting off a "filter". For heaven sake, what is this? Fifth grade?Edited again - took the "objectionable" word, first four letters abst and last four letters ence and replaced with avoidance. I find this fascinating and horrible. A bookseller graying out s review due to one word erroneously triggering the thought police? Only in 2019 America. I'll try this edit. If the review continues grayed out due to a "sensitivity filter" then I'll delete and re-edit - complete with all this background info.
