Wow! Just Wow!
Oh My God! This feels so good! So I selected this model for the price and that it seemed like it was not loud. (It is not loud). Also because I felt it would not bother my wife who did not need any cooling. She was tired of me running the fan overhead. She did not like the breeze. But I was a little anxious because one commentator had said the covering had a top side and a bottom side - which would force the user to place the cooling unit attached to the mattress cover to one particular side. But after examining the mattress cover, the thickness of the material is the same on either side. Though one side did kind of seem softer, I think that is because of how it had been rolled up or something and not a real difference in the sides. Which was great because I did want to use the 'back' side as my up side so that I could place the cooling unit on the left side of the bed (or the right side if you are at the foot of the bed looking toward the headboard). Also, though the directions recommend you place the unit above the mattress topper during operation, there are also extra directions for how to place it lower than the mattress topper if needed. My other concern was that the tubes in the mattress topper would bother me. I get bothered by the smallest crumb in my bed so I wondered how it would work. Well not really a problem! I slept better that first nite than I had in a long time. I do notice the tubes on my heels and so I tended to move my legs around until my feet were positioned in between the tubes for comfort. A small drawback really. Also the directions say you can add a mattress topper on top of it if you want to. This will reduce the cooling effect. However this will not be a problem for me because there are quite a few settings and I was on the lowest setting and it worked great! The lowest setting is just to have the pump on and not the cooling fan. So the water circulating through the topper was all I needed. I will try a comforter over top it tonight to see how it does since I did have to adjust my feet more than I wanted to. But I am not worried it will not be cold enough because there are 4 fan levels to use, not to mention even two settings where the fan will run for a short time and then stop for a short time as an in-between temp setting for the pump only and the slowest fan level. Wish I had known about this product earlier! I will mention that the plastic used is not the most robust. It does seem pretty cheaply made - but I picked it because it was not that expensive. I don't feel like it is going to break right away or anything. I think for what is does the price is quite good. I really like that there is a remote. You do seem to need line of sight however to use it.Update: Still working for me, I did put a thinish comforter over top to make the tubes less obvious, and that did increase the comfort level, though I would not say it is a requirement for everyone. Also I spray a little mold killer into the unit on a regular basis as I don’t plan on trying to deal with a monthly regiment of draining and drying.

No more sweaty nights
Works as expected, definitely not waking up bathed in sweat anymore! I placed it under the mattress pad and can’t even feel it under me. The noise at the highest level is a bit much, but on level 2 it’s bearable

Leaky Product
This mattress cooler has more leaks than my colander. It leaks in the back and in the front. The pad is very uncomfortable even with a mattress pad over it. It does cool the mattress though. I just can’t recommend it.

Works great but you must do maintenance
This machine works great if you are a hot sleeper, there are other units out there that have more versatility if you want to pay more money. (Chillisleep is 8 times the price)But this one has worked great for me for years! The negative reviews are people who do not properly do maintenance!! First off you must put a drop or two (at the most) of bleach in this every couple of weeks.Once a month, I unhook it and take my machine to the kitchen sink and empty it, put some hot water in it (swoosh it around) to clean it. I also have a compressor in my garage that has a very long hose with a nozzle on the end of it to blow out air. I take it into the bedroom and after I have unhooked my machine, I use a bucket and I blow the remaining water that is in the tubes into the bucket. this cleans out the tubes on the mattress pad. This maintenance routine seems like a lot of work, but it really is not and I have used and kept my machine running smoothly for years. It truly works wonderfully, and you can dial it down to the point that you feel like you’re sleeping on an ice cube. I just wish I could get a hold of the people who designed it to make a couple of minor adjustments that I think would be way easier for maintenance.

I wanted this thing to work!
I’m a hot sleeper. I sleep with side fan, and ceiling fan almost year round. I wanted this system to help during summer months, when it’s the hottest. I have a very comfortable mattress (Purple), but when I put this cooling pad on top of my mattress cover, and then the fitted sheet on top of it, I can feel the tubing about the thickness of silicone straws everywhere. The cotton pad is really thin. I used it for about 2 weeks to give it a fair shake. I could not feel the difference of temperature at all, other than I would wake up feeling the tubes, or the hard plastic flap that attaches to the machine. I did try different settings, even at what was supposed to be coldest, but for me, it just did not work. I keep our AC at 76 or 78, during summer, and fans going. The idea of it is really great, and it may work for some. It was easy enough to install, even if you have an adjustable bed (we do.) I’m giving it only 2 stars because it does set up easy, and it’s overall idea is good. It loses stars for comfort, actual cooling (I expected to feel coolness to the touch). Also, for refilling water, there is a blue level indicator, than in my opinion, should be a lighter or brighter color for better visibility. I actually had to shine a flashlight to see every time to refill water. I used distilled water, and went through about 3 gallons each week. Needless to say, I’m returning this system, and on the hunt for a better one that won’t cost an arm and a leg like the chili dock pro.
