Edit: it seems this company has added an artificial fragrance (which is bad for your skin) instead of the essential oil blend, which is what it used to be. This artificial fragrance is reflected on the actual label but it is not listed as such in the ingredients on amazon. Will be replacing this in my routine with goat milk soap. I don’t know about for you all but my skin will be dry after a shower no matter what soap I use, especially in the winter. About one week ago I started to use this soap in combination with almond oil after my shower, Shea butter at night and rose water for my face (also drinking plenty of water and getting vegetables) and I don’t think my skin has ever glowed more, I can definitely tell a difference. Plus I really like the way this soap feels and it smells very good too.

I purchased Shea Moisture because I developed an eczema breakout for the 1st time in my life at the age of 58, never had it before now. Someone told me this soap cleared up their acne so I tried it on my severe eczema. It works wonderfully. I tried Dove and Glycerin soap but they didn't work like the Shea Moisture. No more itching or rash breakouts with this soap and so far, this is the only soap I'm using on my face and entire body for atleast 2 months now. I must add that I also started using Aquaphor over my entire body after showering with the Shea Moisture and nothing has cured my eczema better. I keep a jar at home and work and carry with me when I travel. They both go hand in hand! I'm so stoked with these two products!

This is the first time I’ve tried this soap so I didn’t really know what to expect. It has a bit of scent but it smells natural with a bit of vanilla. This bar isn’t as rough as some of the less processed African black soaps so it’s a good one to try if you’re new to this soap. The Shea butter makes the lather feel silky and I think it does help moisturize a little bit. I’m happy I tried this soap and I’m sure I’ll be buying more in the future.

This is our second time ordering them and unless they change something about them we're prob customers for life. My husband loves using it for his face/beard. It doesn't over dry his facial hair or his beard and leaves him fresh and clean. That pair with a good beard oil and he's a happy camper.

Although a tad on the pricey side, I find it a great bar of soap. Great at moisturizing. I even use it for washing my hair from time to time.

Love this soap! I have use this soap and/or the shower gel for years. I have always had reasonably sensitive skin, but I went through a period while ill when almost everything caused me to break out in a rash. This not only was something I could use, it helped the overall health of my skin and the problem went away. The scent is nice and soft, it doesn’t stick with you all day, though, so if you like more scent, you need to get the lotion and layer.

Well that was reading about this product I was extremely skeptical.... of course wondering how it will work with my skin type would it be to drying would it be too oily you know the drill!! However I must say that I am completely shocked and in awe of how amazing this facial bar soap wash is. I was having some hormonal breakouts along with the dreaded MASK ACNE but was absolutely blown away at how amazing this face wash is, my breakups have cleared up to non existent, my skin feels a lot smoother and hydrated. so if you were on the fence about ordering this face wash bar wash just do it will not be sorry.

I have sensitive skin and eczema flare ups so I’m careful about the products I use on my face and body. However, I really like this soap and have been using it consistently for almost one year without any adverse side effects. I Occasionally use this soap on my face, more often on my body. I’ve seen a few reviews stating this soap has helped with acne and scarring. I’ve never suffered from acne but I do get scars from my eczema (I’m of African descent and my scars are very dark brown). Truthfully, I’m not sure if this soap alone has helped to clear up my scars, but again, it hasn’t made anything worse. I also use Shea butter to help with the dark marks left from rashes. My scars aren’t completely gone but have improved and this may in part be because of the soap. When I first used the soap I instantly noticed the scent. It wasn’t a bad smell but quite distinctive. I actually don’t mind this as I feel the more organic a product is, the more unlikely it will smell of roses and perfume. After a few uses I no longer notice the scent so much. I am big fan of this black soap, having tried another brand which felt very rough with not a very nice scent. I recently bought these soaps to hand out as stocking fillers for Christmas and my sisters seem to like them. My only negative would be the soap, being black in colour, can leave the shower looking dirty once you’ve finished, but this is minor as I clean my shower often. The soaps took a little long for delivery but did arrive within the estimated delivery dates so I can’t complain. I would recommend trying this product.

Clarfies the skin and moisturises, very nice scent as well.

This soap doesn’t really have a sent and works well in sensitive skin - of course it differs from person to person. For the recipient it is the only soap that they have been able to use for a long period of time without a reaction.usually after a few months they have to try something else. This one they have been using for years. Reasonably priced by seller.
