I recently moved into my new apartment. Due to storage, relocation and to simply start fresh, I essentially had NO FURNITURE! I needed to start buying stuff, and fast. The whole process of designs and styles to choose from and utilizing space, etc has always been fun and exciting to me. To go through the entire process then finally get your new stuff! The catch to this is, stuff costs money. I really didn’t want to just go impulsively buy the first cheap coffee table I saw and just beat it up for 1-2 years then start the whole process over again. I really wanted to start making purchases on larger items that I can use and be happy with for 5/10/20 years. But generally those types of items cost a lot more money. After deciding on the style, size, functionality and finally a budget, I did a lot of research. I spent about 2 weeks researching coffee tables, side tables, bed frames, mattresses, carpets, desks… everything found in a home, I was researching and planning. But this review is for the coffee table you’re checking out; so let’s skip to when I decided on this VASAGLE coffee table. I am happy to review it and share that this was a fantastic purchase. Here is how I figure this to be the case. Fast shipping. Free shipping. Isn’t that why we pay for Prime? This is exactly the type of purchase that we want Prime for in the first place. The shipping box was not too bad to get into my apartment. If you have trouble moving heavier items, get your buddy involved. Easy and leisurely assembly. I don’t rush assembly. So any reviewer that brags “I got it done in like 25 minutes”; they rushed the job. They stripped various screws, forgot fasteners, scratched the surfaces, at some point realized they installed one piece incorrectly and had to take it all apart to fix their mistake, then forgot to tighten 40% of the fasteners during reassembly, then finally lie to folks for some reason and say they did it in 25 minutes. They later down the road complain that it wobbles, squeaks while the fasteners are falling out and all they can do is blame it on the manufacturer. This seems like I know these types of guys too well. I know these things because I used to be one of those guys. I have learned that you only have to assemble a new item ONCE. So when you do; do it right. I put on a movie, followed the instructions closely, then it was completed by the time the movie was over. What type of movie? 90’s Tom Clancy. Ford not Baldwin. So use that timeframe of measurement… if you care to. Sturdiness. Yes, it is sturdy. I was somewhat skeptical about the sturdiness of the hinge lift system. I was pleasantly surprised that it functions very well, while remaining quite as well. It has plenty of support for dining while cutting up a nice ribeye steak, or doing a little bit of work on your laptop. Storage. This is one of the major factors I used in selecting this table. I utilize the entire top hidden storage compartment to keep about 4 LARGE blankets in. It’s almost winter. I like blankets. Now they’re in arms reach, but hidden until I actually need them. The 3 bottom compartments are great, which was another feature that helped me narrow it down to this item. There were a couple of similar looking, but different configurations I researched and considered. I liked the empty/pass through bottom section. It opens up the table more, as opposed to just a big flush block object in the middle of your room. To add to the storage and look of the compartments, I sized, then went shopping for 2 baskets to keep in either end of the table. I’m utilizing them for accessible, but hidden nicknacks such as a couple of lesser used remotes, chargers, cat toys and cat treats. You never know when you need to reward your cat for doing something totally cute. I have some of my fav coffee table books in the middle compartment, with the occasional curious cat peep hole. Style. I like this style and design. If you’re reading this review, you probably do too. I wouldn’t, and didn’t do any research or comparison shopping on items that I didn’t find appealing visually in the first place. That would be silly. Generally a lot of folks purchase furniture on looks alone. Often true functionality is overlooked. I was lucky enough to find a coffee table that I was literally imagining in my head before I saw it. The rest of my pros on this item is why I’m writing a review for it in the first place. Price. I find this to be an excellent price. With the quality and overall finished product; I actually consider this quite a steal. This is comparable to the 7 year Max Scherzer contract the Nationals got. If that comparison doesn’t mean anything to you; I can’t help you, or you’re a Mets fan. However all you really need to know is this a excellent value-purchase that you will greatly benefit from. The price was actually below what I was budgeting for the coffee table, so when I decided on this, I was able to make a couple of additional purchases in my “want/eventually” column. I’m not close to being done fully furnishing the new apartment with everything I’m planning on; and the decor stage is a 3 month plan/activity for me to do through the rest of the year. However I was able to cross “Coffee Table” off my list. And I am very satisfied with that. #Recommend

We got this table living in a tiny apartment as an effort to save some space and be able to have a spot to eat without crouching over a short coffee table. My boyfriend assembled it and said to say that "This thing is really sturdy, and easy to put together if you follow the instructions!" It's been about a month now and we have no complaints. We like that the table top comes down slowly and doesn't just slam shut. We have some other similar particle-wood style furniture (gotta start somewhere lol) that matches the wood color/style which we really like too, seems to be easy to find matching styles. It's perfect for storing blankets, tissues, other little knick-knacks, etc. and it lifts up to the perfect level for both of us to comfortably eat while sitting on the couch. We definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a cheaper, but quality lift-top table option.

I love my table!! It looks just like the picture and was really easy to put together. It’s the perfect size for our family room and I love that I can store things in it. I haven’t had any issues with it and it’s pretty sturdy. I would definitely recommend.

Only one problem, the allen keys provided (one small and one large) were both too small for the large bolts. Still tightened them by angling the allen key but was frustrating and sort of stripping the bolts. About an hour install time and all the parts were there and good quality. Works as intended, looks good, functions well, however...pay very close attention to which orientation the pieces go together by looking at the drawings or you will have to remove the screws/bolts and flip them and re-install for a moment of frustration. Happy with the larger size and value.

This is a well made coffee table that pulls open to eat off of or grab items in storage. I have purchase a lot of items you get instructions to assemble. This was pretty clear but there are only illustrations of what the next step would be. I advise anyone who buys this to remember when you attach the top to the hinges check to make sure it will close properly. If you don’t check you will have to unscrew the top and turn it around. The instructions do not mention that if you have the top turned the opposite way it won’t close properly. I could have saved myself 30 minutes with a better illustration of the last step. Other than the instructions this is a well made sturdy table. I really love mine.

It’s a very beautiful coffee table. Assembly was easy and theres lots of storage. I really like that the top lifts up for extra internal storage. The brackets that hold up the table top when you raise it are good and sturdy and you don’t have to worry about the top slamming down when it’s raised . It stays in place well. I think the size is just right I have a bachelor apartment so I don’t have a large amount of space. The table is very sturdy once it’s assembled.

Ayuda mucho si te apoyas de buena herramienta para armarlo. Incluyendo un destornillador eléctrico. Las instrucciones son claras y precisas. Lo bueno es que vienen piezas de más porque hay una es especial que es muy delicada y fácil de romper. Se siente de buena calidad, pesado, cómodo y agradable a la vista.

Mi pedido llegó 8 dias antes. Las instrucciones son muy claras en el instructivo. El material es de excelente calidad tanto tornillos, ensamble y herrajes. Trae su propio desarmador y llaves Allen para su armado. Me tardé 3 horas y media en el armado completo. Es una belleza de mesa. ME ENCANTÓ. ALTAMENTE RECOMENDABLE. Cliente muy satisfecha con la compra.

Lately when I buy a mid-budget table, I know the quality won’t be exceptional and that I’ll eventually be replacing it. This table may be an exception. The components were well packaged and protected, the instructions were clear and the table went together smoothly in about a half hour; the only fiddly part was while installing a long particleboard brace between the hinges for lateral stiffness; I feel like the order of assembly around those steps could be reordered to make installing that panel easier. As mentioned, the panels are pretty solid chipboard with a decent faux wood grain texture and colour, they come pre drilled and set for the hardware attachments, but it’s the frame that makes this a keeper. The frame is solid enough that even if/when the chipboard components wear out or are damaged, I’ll happily replace those parts with wood. The table top comes up with spring loaded hinges that make it to easy raise and lower the top with merely a finger on either long-side; once raised it is at a good height and distance from where I’m seated to use for dining or homework or to game on my laptop. The interior is spacious and deep, making lots of room for games, controllers, and occasionally-used household items. The three cubbies on the bottom are spacious and carry through to the other side, and there are feet on each of the four legs that can rotate to adjust for level. Overall very happy with this purchase.
