Home Run Read—My 7-Year-Old’s New Best Friend! ⚾📖
If books could have batting averages, this one would be hitting 1.000! My 7-year-old lives and breathes baseball, and this collection of true stories has become his new best friend. He dives into it like a shortstop going for a grounder—totally locked in. The inspiring tales keep him engaged, and I love that he’s reading and learning life lessons from the game he loves. A must-have for any young baseball fan who dreams of hitting it out of the park! 🚀⚾📚

Some Great Stories With. Twist
I took a flyer on this book because I am a baseball junkie. I thought the stories would probably be rehashed stuff i already knew. But I was pleasantly surprised that I learned something new in each one! This is not just a good book for kids who love baseball but for their parents as well. The Jim Abbot shoe tying story I found particularly sweet especially compared to the Pete Gray story. With the likes of Ted Williams, Ichiro, Clemente, Jeter, Piazza and of course Jackie Robinson I really enjoyed this book!

Great book for any baseball fan!
I bought Baseball Stories for my grandson who is on a competitive/travel 11U team. First, I downloaded the Kindle sample to make sure it was his reading level and might interest him. Good for probably 10+, even adults. It's a book of vignettes, true stories, about baseball players, some more well-known and many lesser known, and their achievements. As a girl, I grew up in the 60s listening to the Dodgers on AM radio. Many of the players in the book are everyday names to me; from the 60s to the 90s is when I listened to pro baseball. And many more players are more recent. These stories are inspiring! I found myself reading my grandson's copy, so finally got my own! I'm proud to have this book in my library! If you have a tween or teen, or yourself, who enjoys baseball, this book is a must-have in your library.
