Very sharp and easy to clean
I got this after getting tired of constantly sharpening regular steel knives. Had it about a month now, and it's performing great. I keep it only to cut vegetables and other softer items, and it works great for that. The material is very brittle, so you can't use bendy motions with it, and I prefer not to put it in the dishwasher either. The only mild downside is that the handle is taller than the blade, so it doesn't sit flat on the cutting board when cutting, unless you place it such that the handle is off the board.

brittle, fragile, dangerous
I am usually a fan of Farberware, and the ceramic knives are a favorite of mine. I've had my original blue handled Farberware ceramic knife (much like this one) for several years. It's still sharp, but the handle is worn so I decided to replace it.I ordered one of these as a Christmas present just to find it was shattered when opened. I figured it must have been broken when opening at Christmas so I ordered a replacement. The replacement arrived in a box that also contained an electronic device and a bracelet. The box was undamaged as were the device and the bracelet, but the knife arrived shattered into bits...and still in the original stiff plastic packaging. The packaging was completely unharmed. My original knife has shown no signs of being brittle, but these new ones are a different story. I am very glad that nobody was harmed handling these because the shards are like little razors.I encourage you to avoid this knife. Sorry Farberware; you've lost a fan.

Cute and functional
It's pretty sharp and durable. I would not use to super hard surface or objects though (e.g., frozen meat) but very handy to handle fruits, veggies, bread, soft meat, and virtually anything. It's also pretty to look and easy to clean. My previous knives served me about 7years but the blades are dull and chipped. Now I use this one alongside the stainless steel knife (for harder objects) and they are pretty good pair in the kitchen. I would not put it in the dishwasher even though it's dishwasher safe. Sometimes, the blades can chip.

quite sharp
I have a few other ceramic knives, but this one seems particularly sharp. For example I've used it to remove excess fat from roasts, and it does an unusually good job. The size is just right - not too short, and not so long as to be cumbersome. My one complaint is the overly snug protective sheath. I use it to protect the edge, but getting the knife in and out is a bit nerve-wracking - I worry that a slip will sever a few fingers.

It’s sharp as a razor
Very sharp knife. You can’t use it on most stone or granite countertops which is a a bummer. It would chip. But used with a wooden cutting board this knife is extremely sharp and quick, especially when slicing vegetables.

This knife kept shattering (twice and one time it cut me) while I was using it.
I bought this knife because I had a Faberware ceramic knife that I have had for years. My first one is still sharp and perfectly functional and I use it around once per day. I was excited to purchase another one. But this is not nearly the quality of my previous one and it has shattered twice. Once while cutting carrots...didn't realize that carrots would cause a large 1 inch shard to come off it. It shattered the first time when I first got it using it for regular chopping (that is where I got the cut as the shard went deep into my finger). Ceramic really hurts when it cuts you...and it bled for a long time. Not sure what to do with it since if I throw it away it may cut someone else who is not aware it is in the garbage etc. Not sure if you can see it but the very tip is the first place the ceramic shattered first. The 'carrot' shatter is much more obvious as it is a good 3/4-1" long chunk out of the knife...knife still has carrot on it because I am not going to touch it. If it shatters on you, DO NOT pick up the fragment with your bare hands, it is sharper than any razor. Other than the fact that it is defective and dangerous, no other complaints.

Two knives broke on Day 1.
I bought two of these knives. The first knife broke as soon as I took it out of the package - the blade broke at the handle. The replacement knife remained intact while opening the package, but broke as I took it out of the sheath. I'm giving up on it.

This knife broke on my third use, I complained to the company but received no response. I do not recommend anybody to buy this.
