Does the job well
Okay, if you're looking to get some blank brass challenge coins to run through your 60W fiber laser, you're in luck – they're definitely out there in bulk and are a popular material for laser engraving! Brass is a great choice for fiber lasers because they interact well with metals, allowing for detailed and lasting marks, from surface etching to deeper engraving depending on your machine's settings and power. You can find these blank brass coins from various suppliers online, including places that specialize in engraving blanks or even larger marketplaces that connect you directly with manufacturers. When you're looking, keep an eye out for descriptions that specify "solid brass" and mention suitability for laser engraving. A 60W fiber laser should give you plenty of power to get some really nice results on brass, allowing you to create custom challenge coins with intricate designs, text, and logos for whatever projects you have in mind.

Solid brass coins
I bought these to laser engrave some challenge coins. They are solid brass and worked great. Highly recommend these if you’re using them for laser engraving. They have some weight to them and are a solid product.

Perfect gift to make and sell
these are great to use on my glow forge just as long as you use a Laser marking spray as well. i created challenge coins for members of my masonic lodge. Will definitely order more in the future to use to make mementos and as products to sell on my website and in my store.

Plastic Coating On Some Blanks
The coins were solid brass, so that was nice, but some of the coins had a layer of a clear plastic coating that I didn't notice until running the first layer of the engraving. On some coins, nothing, but on others, the first few layers would cause a thin film of plastic to start wrinkling and coming off the coin (I think 20 or 30 of the 50 coins I ordered). After awhile, I started storing the coin blanks in acetone and then wiping them off before use to ensure accurate engraving. That fixed the issue, but the coating was never mentioned on the product page then or now, unless I'm still somehow missing that tidbit. Normally this lack of disclosure would get 1 star, but this does seem a lot more minor than not mentioning their zinc blanks are plated, and the coins otherwise engraved quite well.
