They come in separate little packages.
It comes in small separate packages which is good. But you do have to use a few to get the amount you need. I made black pasta for halloween and had to use about 4 or so just to get it dark enough. Other than that its a good product.

Life and money saver
I am so happy I found these individually wrapped ink packs. I had ordered a jar of squid ink before and because of how quickly it expires once opened, didn't use the whole thing. I do pasta and like to get decorative with it and make them colored. It was easy to just open one or two and add them to the dough to get a black pasta. It mixed in well with the dough, though it does take longer to kneed it to get it fully incorporated.

Doesn’t stain skin
Does not stain skin and of course, it smells awful. This may be a cool ingredient to make foods black but it doesn’t work for my intended purpose.
