I found the product to be very simple in design and easy to use. Pug the tester in position and look at the built in light for the status of the phone line.

Does what it's designed to do

Easy to use but do not leave plugged in - they load system a fair amount might take circuit off hook and confuse decisions.

Such a simple device - red or green lights to tell you good (green)/red (bad). Works exactly as it was designed and identified my dual line port with both green lights at the same time. I was able to find out that somewhere along the way one of my phone jacks was miswired so it really did save the time as this takes literally a second to test the phone jack vs tearing out all out.

It does work to do very basic troubleshooting, but it is poorly designed. If your phone jack has the lock tab at the top of the jack, be prepared to have to crane your neck to see the lights since the lights are underneath. So, for me, my phone jacks are about 2 feet off the floor and I had to plug it in, then get on the floor and try to make out a dimly lit LED (turning off the lights in the room helped).As I said, it did diagnose the problem, and it was only 10 bucks, but depending on your phone jack orientation, be ready to look underneath to look at the LED's.

Used it to check to see if my jack line was powered but also correctly wired. Works as intended. No batteries required is an added bonus.

Easy way to check a phone jack. Just plug in and the lights on the unit tell you what's wrong- if anything. Easier than dragging a phone to each outlet to check tone.
