Reliable external cd and dvd drive
Good backup or my old cd 's and dvd's. Very easy to use , just plug and play. As not disappointed me since I bought it six months ago.

Works, cord is short. Likely best for laptop.
It works, I got it to rip CDs to my PC. The cord is a bit short, should be good for laptops. My Core X9 case is fine with it as it sits on top of the case/

Not all that sturdy.
Pretty good. Wished the cd drawer was more stable. Looks like if you're not careful with it you will break it. It functions great.

For those that have need to read a CD or DVD, your search is over.
Disk drive arrived with a short non attached USB A to C cable. Permanently attached is a USB 3A / C cable. This connects to the computing device (PC, Mac, laptop). The transfer / power cable is extremely short. Worked OK for the laptop, but would not work in my PC use. My PC (Minis Forum) is mounted behind my monitor making termination very difficult. I purchased a AINOPE USB C Extension Cable 6.6FT, 20Gbps/240W USB3.2 Type C Extender Cord to resolve this issue. Works like a charm. I have a clear desk, with the DVD drive now sitting on the monitor shelve where I can connect to my PC or my laptop without problem. I had 10 old DVD's of images that were being stored as backup media, but had no way to retrieve the data till now. I was able to transfer the images to another media, thanks to the drive and the cable. Reading a DVD with 2.6 GB of data, I was able to complete the transfer of 35753 files to my laptop with a Crucial BX500 2TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-Inch Internal SSD in 61 minutes. The additional ports for the USB hub show up in explorer but I have not tested the capabilities of the hub. All in all I am well pleased with the results from the DVD drive, extension cable and the SSD.

External DVD drive
I was a bit skeptical but it is compatible and worked perfectly with my hp 23 inch desk top. Portable and very lightweight. Have not tried on my iPad or Mac as of yet. I have an older Pc so I had to download a dvd app. Easy to install. Glad I brought.

It works—but only if you don’t ask it to behave
I didn’t buy this expecting miracles. I bought it to do a job. And I’ll say this first, so it’s said plainly: it did the job I gave it. Now for the truth around that fact. The housing is thin, clearly 3D-printed, and has no tolerance for being even slightly out of level. If the drive isn’t sitting perfectly flat, the disc spins off-true, grinds, vibrates, and will quite literally walk itself across the desk. When that happens, clean reads are finished before they begin. Audio CDs fare no better. Most tracks throw errors. It sounds like a machine arguing with itself. It has crashed Windows six times so far. Leave it plugged in and startup becomes a gamble. Sometimes it’s fine. Sometimes it reminds you who’s in charge—and it isn’t you. And yet. It’s cheap. It arrived quickly. And when I needed data off a disc—once, deliberately, with care—it delivered. No ceremony. No grace. But it delivered. This is not a daily-use drive. It’s not stable. It’s not forgiving. It’s a tool you use briefly, carefully, and then unplug before it causes further mischief. If you need elegance, buy something else. If you need reliability, buy something else. If you need to get one stubborn job done and you understand the risks—this will, eventually, comply.

This is a nice external disk reader - but at first it didn't appear to work at all. Tried it on a Linux PC, Windows 10 and a laptop with Win 11 - nothing, would read anything. I had plugged in the only USB-C cable to the back it and was plugging in the other end (USB-A) to the PC. After giving up I turned it over to see a hidden cable connected to the unit. Ahh!! Tried that and it worked perfectly. So - 5 stars for overall rating, but 3 stars for ease of use seeing it is REALLY CONFUSING to have a unit shipped with ONE extra cable that doesn't do anything. TLDR: Use the built in connected cable under the unit, NOT the supplied separate cable.

El producto es bueno, tiene los puertos que indica, es fácil de utilizar, el único punto que debo recalcar es que no se puede utilizar para las televisiones si no tienen el controlador para eso, de ahí todo perfecto
