I have a worm composter in the house that got infested with fruit flies. I've been using this for about 3 weeks and it's doing a great job getting the flies under control; it seems to be killing them faster thna they can breed. Works far better than sticky traps or old-style coiled fly paper. I had tried the little outlet-based blue LED sticky traps, but they weren't effective.Operational aspects that may be problematic for others: 1) This is a classic bug zapper, so yes, it snaps loudly (a feature I found oddly satisfying in my bug war). 2) It has a trap to catch dead bugs, but a lot of bugs get propelled when zapped and fall outside of the trap. The trap is easy to empty, but the rest of the unit requires some patience to clean with the little included brush. But the unit is not at all fragile, so no worries about breaking fine wires when brushing. The bugs stick a little, so my canned-air keyboard duster wasn't very effective. I haven't tried my shop air compressor yet, but I suspect it might have enough oomph to blow the stuck bugs off.

It’s Awsome . Looks exactly like the pictures. Don’t need to clean it right away it has room to give it awhile until you need to depending on your bugs around your home. It’s loud when it zaps ,. Definitely makes you jump when your near by and not excepting any bug to come through. It’s great price ,. I wish I would have bought the 2 for the 50$something dollars . It’s worth it!

I had my doughts about this at first and almost sent it back. It took a while to figure out the best place for this in the house. There really is no low light area because I live in a trailer. When it zaps the dogs and I would jump. Lol sometimes still do. But once I saw it also would kill the wasps that were coming in after my daughters dog got stung I decided it was a keeper. U have to give it a few weeks to really know how it's gonna work, and I moved it 3 times. But once u find the right spot and it gets going, meaning ALL the bugs begin to get drawn to it, it seems to really work well. I'd recommend it to anyone . It is rather bright at night, which works well for me, but if u are bothered by that then ull have to move it. I wouldn't recommend unplugging it at night because we did that and it just wasent getting the bugs anymore when it was on.

This has been the most durable zapper I’ve ever purchased . It has been knocked off the patio during storms , left out in rain , hot and cold weather and has been used for about a year now and still going . It does have a pretty loud pop but to be that’s a sign it is working . I live I. Wooded farm land area and bugs are a problem at night when the lights are on and this really helps . I also find this one to be more appealing to the eye with the color and style it’s nicer to look at vs the typical style . The dusk to dawn option is a nice bonus feature although I leave mine on 24/7

I bought my first one July 2023. It recently went out as I kept it going all day. It really works well. I am purchasing a new one plus bulbs with the sensor. I like the looks and it can sit on flat surface or be hung up. I like the size as well as it isn't huge but works as well for full size.

Killed tons of bugs ... Mostly Beatles... Lasted one season 4 months then died

We purchased our second Gecko bug zapper recently. The first has been plugged in for over a year and still works great. When the new one arrived, the bulb was not working. Since we had purchased extra bulbs, I tried one and it was fine. When I contacted the company (with video) showing the nonworking bulb they immediately agreed to (and did) send a replacement bulb, which meant I didn’t have to return the new bug zapper. Super fast and responsive customer service. A+++
