Solid little soldering iron. Perfect for electronics repairs. Picked this up to fix a broken WiFi antenna lead and do some light electronics work on a mini PC. Heats up fast, temperature control is accurate, and it holds heat well without scorching components. The digital display is clear and the buttons are responsive. The size is ideal for precision work. I was soldering close to RAM slots and small connectors and had no issues with control. The stand and sponge are a nice bonus and actually usable, not cheap throw-ins. If you’re doing electronics repairs, small wiring jobs, or hobby projects, this is a great value for the price. Would definitely buy again.

Iron heats quite fast. Various tips are suitable for most jobs. Fine point tip does tend to bend a bit but you can can bend it back. Black grip does get a bit warm. Needs more insulation to keep it cooler. Other than that iron works quite well. Various temperature settings are easy to set. Small in size makes it easier to get in tight areas. Added accessories are a good value. How durable the unit will be will depend on use.

Haven't done soldering for years, maybe decades. Needed a soldering iron to replace a battery on an S107G RC helicopter and chose this kit because it included everything I might need. It has pinpoint tips, solder, paste, a stand, etc. Was shocked at how quickly this heated up compared to the soldering iron I used as a kid. Really liked that the digital display showed the temperature so I wasn't guessing as to "is it hot yet?" It came with a stand and tip-cleaning sponge, which I used. The stand is not top quality, but it 100% worked for me and held the iron out of my way. Used just a little of the solder and paste. Both did the job and it was nice that I didn't have to buy them separately. I didn't use any other tips or the wick. In all, I was impressed with the the contents of the kit. If you have a small job and don't want to spend a lot, this is convenient and a great value.

OH!! This little iron is fantastic. Heated up quickly. Got my soldering job done in less than half the time of my old iron. Loved the solder that came with it. Perfect for electronic soldering. The multi tips is a real plus and easy to change. I've been soldering almost 60 years...I finally found an iron I like.

Had everything you need for a beginner soldering, including a solder wick and stand. The only thing that might have better was if the flux was more of a gel instead of a waxy solid. I mean it melts with the iron but a gel would have been better but that is a minor gripe. The iron heats up very quickly and the temp control is fine. Even the solder that they provided worked great. Don’t know about durability as I’ve only used it a single time. I think for a beginner like myself this set is just right. A more advanced user would certainly want a full soldering station but even for an advanced user as a compact item to carry in a tool box this also works. Caveat, even though this is a small unit it still gets very hot!

Does not get hot enough for 14awg wire. Barely melts solder when touched directly to the iron, regardless of settings and preheat time.

Good iron, great price.
