There is a cool mood and a couple of heat modes, and you can use one or more in combination to style your hair the way you like it. The fact that you can dry, brush, volumise, curl and/or straighten your hair in a single swoop is amazing. The only complaint I have is the absence of a mechanism to clean the brush. You need to wait for it to cool down and manually untangle the hair strands, which is a hassle.
