The headline speaks for itself but in addition, the pictured blue-colored drive is not what you get, so not a retail drive, in my case anyway. I took a chance since they are Western Digital drives and I have had good luck with all of them in the past so I bought 2 of these drives and now much of my important data is gone and will be difficult if not impossible to replace after sudden no warning failure. Now I have to buy new drives, hard disk warranties are meaningless and useless when you lose all your data. If you care about your data don't buy refurbished and most likely old swapped-out junk drives or drives from a known bad batch someone is looking to make easy profits on, the company that supposedly tested was HardDriveGeeks you have a really good chance of regretting doing business with them or any other company selling questionable drives. Simply not worth it to save a few dollars

Bought this renewed drive for a RAID 1 NAS drive that failed. Working great for about 45 days so far, no complaints.

Received with no damage. Both drives work without any problems and on their way to be working 24/7 in my server.

This review is for Western Digital 4TB WD Blue PC Internal Hard Drive HDD - 5400 RPM, SATA 3.5" - WD40EZAZ (WD Factory Recertified) (Renewed). Returned for excessive noise. The WD 4TB Blue hard drive received did work but made very loud buzzing noise when powered up. The noise was loud enough to hear from 8 feet away from the computer. I removed the HDD from the computer and installed in a Hard drive caddie. Powering ON the drive you can feel the excessive vibration in the unit. The spindle shaft was perhaps bent or the platters are out of balance. I have several WD 4TB Blue HDD's installed in my network and they all run quiet. You can barely tell if they are powered up. I suspect this hard drive was returned to Western Digital in the first place for this same defect and was able to return the unit to Amazon. Be cautious when purchasing anything from the seller 'World Product Importer'. Check out whatever items you get from WPI right away so you can return it just in case! YMMV
